“Is it just me or would a large pepperoni pizza hit right now?”

He gives me a side way glance, chuckling,

“I was thinking the same thing.”

We stop at the pizza place along the way, both of agreeing that he was much too painted covered to get our food.

“How come you didn’t use the shower back at the pub?”

“I thought I would use yours.” He answers with a shrug.

Shaking my head as I go, a dopey grin on my face as I place our order, as they worked on the order, I input a reminder for the car tomorrow, I was going make good on my word, Chris and I were through being friends.

“That took a while.”

I slide into the my seat, hands full of stuff,

“Good things take time.”

“Hey, remember the spot you showed me before? Let us go there, I feel like it would be perfect with the food.”

The car rolls to a slow stop, and we find the last of the setting sun, it was pretty, especially the small lake below, the water bounced off the surface.

“It is very pretty.”
