Chapter 69 - Regrets?
"I don't know why I did it," Ryo says looking ahead. I can tell she's conflicted about her decision to not rat Marlene out. She hasn't said much about the incident in the principal's office yesterday. "I guess I felt sorry for her, she looked so sad when I walked in." She says after a moment of silence.
"I get it," I say and she turns to me with her brows like really? I smile and she frowns. "It sucks that she attacked you but I know you didn't want her t get into trouble," I say and she nods.
"I just couldn't do it. You should have seen her, she was looking down at her hands the whole. I don't think I've ever seen her that scared." She says and the statement conjures up memories I don't want to tap into. I remember how scared she was when she had her episode and Jameson and I took her home. The look on her mother's face said it all.
"I've seen that look," I say and she almost gasps at my words. "She does get scared, she's just great at hiding
