Chapter 24

Throwing the blanket off me I shivered from the cold air of the night. Bending over the crib I picked Neveah up because she was crying. She stopped crying when I laid her down on my chest. Taking a nappy from the stand and her wipes I laid her down on the bed. Unzipping her onesie I was met with the most deathful scent any mother knew what it meant. Taking both her little legs into one hand I lifted her gently and of course it was all over her vest and her back and it was yellow.

Placing her pacifier in her mouth I went to work. Took out a new pair of pajamas for her and undressed her from the one that was covered in her poop. I had her in my arms so I wiped the rest of the poop that was on her back and surprisingly she laid still. Usually she would move or start crying because of the wipe that is cold. I moved the poopy onesie to the side away from her reach and took one of her towels and laid it on the bed and laid her on top of it.

    Foodsteps and loud chattering got closer to the kitchen. The guys were home and just in time. The oven timer went off indicating the lasagna was done.     I woke up about 30 minutes ago, if I’m sure because I don’t remember how long I laid here without opening my eyes pretending to be asleep for god knows why.
