Walking down to the Mess hall that had tables arranged in a circular form with the Alpha and his family's table in the middle, Raven noticed to her amazement and unbelieve that everyone was surprisingly paired 

Though she knew no one thought she would notice or care, which she probably did not for the latter but she knew everyone's names, and their respective lives mostly because she wanted to know her subjects without having close contact and because Rin, who was Omega and in the lowest hierarchy and had nothing doing most of the time and was mostly used as toys for other higher classes loved to gossip about everything and anything he saw or heard.

Of course, an Omega would never dare stand next to an Alpha, or a future one for that matter but Rin had been set to be Raven's playdate since birth and he had grown on her in the best possible way though their friendship grew stronger when he realized that Elle, her baby cousin, was his mate.

Sighing, she also noticed that Abigail the weird also had a male pair!

"Raven"

Turning, she came in contact with a male who was possibly only two years older than her, eighteen with black hair and hazel coloured eyes and an always serious expression, and though he mostly never smiled and was almost grumpy all the time, he was Ravens best friend "Sirius"

The male eyes had locked unto Rins as they turned to a shade of dark yellow "Move away from her"

Rin whimpered, nearly obeying until Raven beld his hand tight ans said to Sirius "Listen to me"

Sirius' eyes looked down at hers as they suddenly began to cool down while she said "Rin would always be by my side as long as you would be. Though I am very much aware of the fact that he is Omega and I am a probable Alpha, he has own reasons for being next to me as you would have your own reasons for being my Beta. Do you understand?"

Almost immediately, Sirius bowed "Yes, Alpha"

It was obvious news that Raven was not Alpha yet and she was not rushing it but whenever she tried calming down anyone who came to her or was too much to handle, she had to use her dominant tone and they mostly always obeyed, though some had fought against it.

Father usually said that being an Alpha was so inborn for her though she always ignored whatever the old man was saying.

"So this blue moon thing?" She asked, specifically to Sirius as she knew Rin would not dare say a word as long as Sirius was here "It's a real thing?"

"Yes" Shrugs replied "It's happening tommorow"

"How come everyone's aware and I'm not?"

"Your Father had announced it during one of the campfire gatherings....but..."

"I wasn't there"

"Yes"

"And he took notice, of course"

".... Yes"

Fuck.

Jethro and Raven Alistair's relationship had always been rocky from day one but she was sure today it was going to become a literal mountain.

Raven, can you excuse the Omega out of your presence, Sirius thought to her telepathically, there is something of importance I must tell you.

Though she would normally argue about the fact she never really his anything from Rin, she could tell the issue was serious and faced the male "Meet me at the sparing ground after breakfast. You are dismissed"

Obvious fear was written all over his face but knowing talking to her, even though it would be a probable joke with Sirius being there would have his body ripped so he barely nodded and walked away.

Raven faced Sirius "What is it?"

"The Elders want Jordan to be the next Alpha" Sirius replied.

"And the young ones?"

"You, of course"

"Then it is settled"

"No, Raven... The Elders might know you're next in line but their words hold power. They could ensue a combat between you and Jordan if you do not accept his Challenge. They believe that Crescent Pack is becoming weak and someone like Jordan who is a ruthless dictator would whip it back to shape"

"That's the problem with old people" She said "They always think they would be war when they would probably never will be".

"And it's not just that. They think you shouldn't be Alpha because..."

"I'm a girl?"

"Partly"

She rolled her eyes "I don't want to be Alpha but Jordan... Jordan's a monster"

"We just think... We just think you and Jordan should not be in the same place at the same time with them around"

Now Raven knew she was strong, this was a usual gift for someone like her type but to be fair, she had not really changed into her Alpha form yet and Jordan... Though not Alpha, he would happily rip out her heart from it's compartment.

"They want me dead" Raven said.

"We believe in you... But we just need you around us so we can protect you. You could be a good Alpha. I mean, you were the one who brought up the Night watch guard yo protect the borders and you taught most of us how to hunt"

"Yes, because you all are sissies"

"We just need your guarantee that wherever you're going, we would be aware" Sirius said "Can you do that?"

"Sure"

Sirius sighed, knowing she was not even paying attention.

Raven on the other hand was staring off at her Family table and saying "Come to think of it Sirius, who are you mating with tommorow?"

Luckily for Sirius, Raven wasn't looking at him as he began to blush "Not yet, but I was thinking...."

"Let's talk of this later" She cut in, facing him again now "At training, okay?"

He nodded "Yes, of course"

She walked away to the family table, plopping herself in between Elle and Jordan's wife, who Raven believed he had kidnapped and was not in love with him but having a severe case of stockholm syndrome "Hello. Morning Father, Mother"

Annabelle Alistair, Luna of the Crescent Pack with her long red hair and brown eyes like her nephew, Jordan, smiled warmly at her "Ravenna"

But Jethro Alistair was not feeling warm "Where were you last night?"

Putting more spaghetti into her plate, and did not bother to look up "Hunting"

"How many times have I told you never to go hunting alone?!"

"I don't like being around people"

"You are an Alpha and you would one day rule this people you cannot bear being around"

"I don't need anyone"

"Of course, but they need you! Start acting responsible!"

His shout/roar had gotten the whole hall quiet with some visibly shaking 

Except Raven "Okay Father. I would be responsible"

It was the tone in which she said it that made him nearly go mad "I am being very serious young lady"

"So am I Father"

Though her tone was that of unemotion, inside she was boiling. Luckily she had learnt a technique of losing out anger and was finally calming down until she heard her Father say "Anyway, I am sure you are aware of what tommorow is"

"Yes"

"And who would you mate with? Or do you have someone in mind?"

"No's

"Good. Sirius! Come here"

This was when her heart flipped.

Sirius of course came forward and the hall was quiet again as Raven faced her Father, and for the first time telepathically begged him.

Don't do it.

But he ignored "Sirius, would you like to mate with my daughter tommorow?"

Before Sirius could say anything, Raven stood up, her eyes flashing to a violent shade of red, facing Sirius "Do not say a word"

Sirius was quiet and Jethro stood, his eyes glowing red too "Speak"

An Alpha standoff.

"Shut up"

"Speak"

Sirius who was now being mind controlled had his eyes flashing in different colours and out of fear hurting his mental state, Raven turned to her Father, her eyes still red as he did so too.

Both did a stand off for atleast five minutes before Jethro's eyes became a dark crimson colour of red and Raven looked down, shrieking.

Jethro's eyes turned back to it's normal dark colour "Do not dare do that next time"

When she looked back up, her eyes were still red but there were tears in her eyes and her fangs were up "I will never let you control me the way you did with Misha! Never!" And was running out of the Hall before anyone could stop her.
