Mag-log inWhen the semester slows down and they have some time to breathe, he and Dylan find themselves in their dorm together often they find out quickly that they both love anime so every Thursday night they gather on Dylan’s tiny bed with food and new episodes to watch.
A respectable distance, of course Andre with his legs thrown over the edge of the bed, leaned back on his arms. while Dylan is all the way against the headboard. knees curled to his chest. A plethora of food and water bottles splayed between them. It's safe and comfortable. Chill. chill until they decide to watch another anime after they’re all caught up on their weeklies. Several episodes in Andre is laying back entirely. One leg off the mattress and the other bent. Dylan has gotten more comfortable too. long legs extended out. Nowhere near touching, but Andre can feel the dent in the mattress. They’re between episodes when Andre has a pillow being shoved beneath his head, Dylan’s soft voice murmuring, “you can’t be comfortable laying like that” and then Dylan returns his gaze to the screen but there’s no hiding the way his cheeks are bright red. Glowing and so miserably pretty. So devastatingly beautiful. Andre groans internally. Fuuuuuuck! Andre has a decision to make and it comes rather easy. He needs to make a very clear distinction between the friendship he is now forging with Dylan and the unhinged desire he feels for him. He and Daniel have played hockey together since they were kids. Glued to the hip and raised damn near like siblings. So much so that when they both were offered scholarships to the same university, they took it, no questions asked. So to be feeling all of these things… all of this reckless want …he can’t. he won’t . but damn, it’s fucking hard. Hard because he and Dylan spend so much damn time together now. they found out they have Monday and Wednesday classes in the same building…because of course the universe loves and hates him simultaneously. It became a part of their routine rather naturally, to walk together. although on Wednesdays their walk is cut short because Daniel meets Dylan halfway with coffee and a pastry and Andre is such a dick because if he were a good friend he would tell Daniel on the low how Dylan doesn’t like those fruity pastries but is just too shy to say it. He’d tell him that he always finds them wrapped up and hidden in their trash can. Then Andre would recommend his bro start buying the double chocolate ones that Dylan salivated over. Andre brought one home for himself a few weeks ago and you would’ve thought he had a million dollars in his hand the way Dylan gaped and asked what it was. It's so simple to be a good friend. a good bro. a good wingman. so easy to do what’s right in this situation for Daniel. And yet…he can’t bring himself to. Because the look on Dylan’s face Friday evening when Andre gets back to the dorm with two of the double chocolate pastries? it’s worth all of the gut twisting he endures when Daniel is around. Dylan does not enjoy hockey. If he had to rank all of the sports on a chart, hockey is so close to the very rock bottom. But….for the first time… basically ever …he wants to go the game this weekend. SO bad. Andre was unbelievably sweet and brought them the most delicious dessert ever last night. He wants to return the favor, maybe he can take a whole bunch of post-game energy fuel to the team…squad?? whatever they’re called. But there’s a way bigger problem at hand, after Dylan has bought four dozen pastries. Even taking the time at their dorm to individually wrap them all– the problem is that he’s fucking dating Daniel . So why does he want to go to a stupid game for a stupid sport for someone else? It is at this exact moment that Dylan realizes he is going to gain so much weight in the next week because he will have to eat all of these by himself. Daniel would absolutely know something is up if he showed up to the game. and how would he explain the pastries face down in his pillow he wants to cry. it’s not even anything bad…he doesn’t like Andre is not like that anyway. But Dylan doesn’t really have any friends and so talking to Andre everyday and hanging out together is so much fun. He just wants to be a good friend. And it is waaaay too early for Andre to be back home. Dylan has a ridiculous amount of these wrappers sprawled around himself when the dorm door kicks open. Andre looks exactly as he did when he left this morning so Dylan is confused…he knows they had a game today. Andre slumps onto the bed, “the other team came down with a massive case of food poisoning and the game was postponed.” “damn, that sucks.” Dylan doesn’t realize he’s fixing his hair until Andre’s eyes find his own and he snorts. “Do you like them that much?” Dylan is confused at what the hell Andre is talking about. until he suddenly feels the chocolate on his lip and his chin. and hears the crinkle of wrappers beneath his knee. He looks like a pig . This is so embarrassing. and Dylan doesn’t really feel embarrassment. ever . “I—I– these– I“ Andre stands up, head shaking as he moves to grab his basket of shower supplies off the dresser between their beds with a giggle. Andre reaches down and his thumb swipes the chocolate off of Dylan’s chin. Mindless, like he’s done it a million times before as he brings the chocolate to his lips, “don't stop on my account.” then the bathroom door clicks shut and Dylan falls backwards from the heavy pounding of his heart. what. the. fuck. When Dylan’s slow nuzzles turn into long hot presses of lips against his neck, is Andre supposed to be able to stop the shivers that spread across his entire body? How can he? The first two weeks they spent apart were horrible but after a week of having this perfect human in his arms, the three weeks without him, have been his own personal hell.Dylan’s teeth catch onto the skin just beneath the collar of Andre’s shirt. Sucking the tiniest little mark. Andre’s fine, he’s cool.Dylan brushes his index finger over the mark he left behind, low eyes and mouth slightly ajar. But it’s the quiet way he whispers ‘mine’ to himself, that has Andre kissing him instantly. He never stood a chance of keeping this kiss innocent when one of Dylan’s hands grasp onto the back of his neck. He’s trying to pull himself as close as possible and Andre just can’t let his baby struggle.Another day? He’ll be intrigued to test Dylan’s patience. Right now? Andre just wants to love him so bad. The hand tha
Despite his protests, Andre demands they take a walk just to get some air. They get dressed reluctantly and Dylan doesn’t let go of his hand for a single second. He tries not to let himself worry too much about whatever Andre witnessed in the room. This hotel has a beautiful outdoor walkway, lined with flowers and looking out onto a massive swimming pool.Water sounds and laughing kids they all help drowning out everything else. Andre stops them when they reach the entrance to a poolside booth–he’s not sure what they’re stopping for but Dylan’s eyes land on a frozen drink machine that has his name written all over it.But the last thing he’s going to do is ask Andre for more. Not when he’s already doing so much. So he stands patiently, chin over his boyfriend’s shoulder, eyes watching the families that play in the water. Gasping softly when a straw is pressed to his lips and when the sweet taste of frozen banana slushie hits his throat he almost moans. Thankfully he doesn’t, bu
Andre rolls onto his side, making it easier to tuck Dylan against himself entirely. Hand soft against the back of his head, “you’re okay, baby. It's just us in here. you and me.” he feels Dylan nod against him but it's not enough. Andre wants to make him feel better and he doesn’t fucking know how.All that he knows to do right now is keep holding him until Dylan feels comfortable to talk.Dylan is spiraling. It’s not that he wants to spiral, he doesn’t realize he’s spiraling. But sleeping took him right back into the kitchen, with his mother kicking chairs and tearing sweatshirts. The living room at fifteen, surrounded by study materials and not being allowed to have dinner until he knew everything. A car ride home from the baseball diamond at nine, his mother’s bitterness over him fumbling the ball several times still aches as much as it did back then waking up to that loud crashing sent his already fragile mind into a frenzy. He tried so hard not to cry.All he’s done is cry.
He can hear water coming from the bathroom and really, he shouldn’t be as surprised as he is when Andre grabs his hand and guides Dylan inside. Not a word is spoken the entire time as they get undressed, slipping into a tub that is probably double the size of the one back in Andre’s bedroom. But instead of his usual position behind Dylan’s back, Andre sits across from him.Tugging at his ankles until Dylan rests his legs in his boyfriend’s lap. “Do you have your phone? Or do they have it?”“I have them, but they’re both broken. I haven’t had them since Wednesday.”“I figured that much” Andre tries to smile but Dylan can see just how hard it is. As much as Dylan is absolutely loving the way Andre’s deft fingers work at his feet and calves. He just needs him.He needs him close more than anything. So he sits up and moves until he’s wedged himself between Andre’s legs. Settling back against his chest. “I imagined you showing up next week to find me homeless.”“I sure as hell hope you
Hyeri sobbed for an hour while we were packing at the last minute because she wanted to see you.” Andre presses one more kiss to his lips. Closing the trunk behind him as he smiles into it, "It’s your fault we all love you so damn much.”The car is silent, save for the soft music playing through the car speakers. The sun is just barely peaking up behind the clouds. Hyeri’s hand is tight on Dylan’s. She reached for it as soon as he got in the car and hasn’t let go since. Andre’s weight and warmth pressed up against him feels so much like he’s got his own personal forcefield. A safe little barrier of love that he can rest into and close his eyes and not think about anything else.He doesn’t know how long it takes them to get where they’re going. But when his eyes start to open, it’s to the smell of something really delicious and the sound of the car parking.Hyeri’s voice is soft, “Dylanie and Andreie are sleeping. What do we do?”“M’awake” he grumbles softly. Nudging at Andre who
Dylan faces David. The room feels like it’s spinning. He nearly falls over, “What?”“I’m not your biological father. I had suspicions. I’ve had them for a long time, but I confirmed it yesterday with our results..”“So that test… was a DNA test??” Dylan’s knees feel so weak. He genuinely doesn’t know how he is still standing, “What do you mean he’s—”“Oh, I already know your grandmother told you all about my broken heart. You guys enjoyed laughing about it.”Jiah walks into the room, “no one was laughing about your pain. I was trying to help my grandson understand why you’re hellbent on ruining this relationship of his.”“Wait…did you know since you got pregnant?” His head snaps towards Rena, “Did you know that dad isn’t my dad?” He looks at his grandmother, heart breaking, “and did you?!”The look on her face shows nothing but regret.“Wow. So I’m the only one who had no idea. My entire life I’ve been treated like a disgrace in this house. And that’s what it is? Because the guy who k
