LOGINDylan feels insane.
It’s finals week and the first playoff game is tonight. He should be studying and steaming the wrinkles out of the jersey Daniel gave him. But all he can think about is this impenetrable wall Andre has built between them since the other night. He thought that if anything… maybe they would get even closer. Dylan stayed for three hours watching Andre and Daniel practice together and they all laughed over old stories from their younger days as they ate the burgers and fries he brought. It felt really nice… and then they all walked back together. Andre and Dylan stopped off at a convenience store when Daniel dipped to go to his own dorm. Andre insisted on paying for their snacks and drinks as a thanks for the dinner. Then he listened to Dylan ranting about the physics section that is frying his brain cells. Genuinely, it was one of the best nights Dylan’s had since going to this university. and then Andre hasn’t spoken a single word to him since. He’s gone early in the morning before Dylan wakes up and he doesn’t get home until Dylan is already asleep. It’s frustrating and Dylan can’t take it anymore. At first he thought Andre was just stressed and tired but after his lonely walk to class on Wednesday ... .Dylan knows something is wrong and he’s determined to find out what he just can’t right now. Because its only a few hours before the game and he’s not going to fuck up Andre’s headspace. They've talked a lot about his pregame routines and Dylan knows how important it is for Andre to keep a clear mind. It's when he finally starts steaming the jersey that he finds himself wondering if Daniel has any pregame routines? Dylan has never asked and Daniel has never talked about it. He didn't even know that was a thing. Should he know? is he a bad boyfriend for not knowing? Why is Andre mad at him anyway? It's not like he did anything . Dylan knows that he didn’t. Ugh. Andre . Dylan’s head hits the wall as his shoulders sag, why can’t he stop thinking about Andre. In all of his hockey ignorance, did not realize how big of a deal playoffs were for university hockey. The amount of people in these bleachers is intimidating. But he follows the sea of colors that match his own jersey. Luckily there’s a seat open in front. next to five noisy guys…perfect. As he gets closer, he notices that every single one of those guys has the number 7 and ‘ Kim ’ on the back of their shirts. It makes him smile unconsciously. either all five of those guys lost bets to their boyfriends, or they’re here for Andre. Ugh. Andre . Here he goes again. Dylan is not doing this. Softly shakes his head to clear his mind and he suddenly feels really self conscious. The last time he came he was on a mission to look sexy as fuck and piss off Daniel. This time he feels so out of place especially if these guys are here for Andre.? What if he looks for them? and he’s so happy to see his friends or family or whoever they are but then his eyes will fall on Dylan and he’ll be sad or maybe even worse disappointed. Dylan just doesn’t know if he can handle that. He is about to get up and move from his seat when the sound of a player running into the glass in front of him keeps him in his place. glances up to see Daniel with a big smile looking right at him well fuck, now he has to stay. When Dylan’s slow nuzzles turn into long hot presses of lips against his neck, is Andre supposed to be able to stop the shivers that spread across his entire body? How can he? The first two weeks they spent apart were horrible but after a week of having this perfect human in his arms, the three weeks without him, have been his own personal hell.Dylan’s teeth catch onto the skin just beneath the collar of Andre’s shirt. Sucking the tiniest little mark. Andre’s fine, he’s cool.Dylan brushes his index finger over the mark he left behind, low eyes and mouth slightly ajar. But it’s the quiet way he whispers ‘mine’ to himself, that has Andre kissing him instantly. He never stood a chance of keeping this kiss innocent when one of Dylan’s hands grasp onto the back of his neck. He’s trying to pull himself as close as possible and Andre just can’t let his baby struggle.Another day? He’ll be intrigued to test Dylan’s patience. Right now? Andre just wants to love him so bad. The hand tha
Despite his protests, Andre demands they take a walk just to get some air. They get dressed reluctantly and Dylan doesn’t let go of his hand for a single second. He tries not to let himself worry too much about whatever Andre witnessed in the room. This hotel has a beautiful outdoor walkway, lined with flowers and looking out onto a massive swimming pool.Water sounds and laughing kids they all help drowning out everything else. Andre stops them when they reach the entrance to a poolside booth–he’s not sure what they’re stopping for but Dylan’s eyes land on a frozen drink machine that has his name written all over it.But the last thing he’s going to do is ask Andre for more. Not when he’s already doing so much. So he stands patiently, chin over his boyfriend’s shoulder, eyes watching the families that play in the water. Gasping softly when a straw is pressed to his lips and when the sweet taste of frozen banana slushie hits his throat he almost moans. Thankfully he doesn’t, bu
Andre rolls onto his side, making it easier to tuck Dylan against himself entirely. Hand soft against the back of his head, “you’re okay, baby. It's just us in here. you and me.” he feels Dylan nod against him but it's not enough. Andre wants to make him feel better and he doesn’t fucking know how.All that he knows to do right now is keep holding him until Dylan feels comfortable to talk.Dylan is spiraling. It’s not that he wants to spiral, he doesn’t realize he’s spiraling. But sleeping took him right back into the kitchen, with his mother kicking chairs and tearing sweatshirts. The living room at fifteen, surrounded by study materials and not being allowed to have dinner until he knew everything. A car ride home from the baseball diamond at nine, his mother’s bitterness over him fumbling the ball several times still aches as much as it did back then waking up to that loud crashing sent his already fragile mind into a frenzy. He tried so hard not to cry.All he’s done is cry.
He can hear water coming from the bathroom and really, he shouldn’t be as surprised as he is when Andre grabs his hand and guides Dylan inside. Not a word is spoken the entire time as they get undressed, slipping into a tub that is probably double the size of the one back in Andre’s bedroom. But instead of his usual position behind Dylan’s back, Andre sits across from him.Tugging at his ankles until Dylan rests his legs in his boyfriend’s lap. “Do you have your phone? Or do they have it?”“I have them, but they’re both broken. I haven’t had them since Wednesday.”“I figured that much” Andre tries to smile but Dylan can see just how hard it is. As much as Dylan is absolutely loving the way Andre’s deft fingers work at his feet and calves. He just needs him.He needs him close more than anything. So he sits up and moves until he’s wedged himself between Andre’s legs. Settling back against his chest. “I imagined you showing up next week to find me homeless.”“I sure as hell hope you
Hyeri sobbed for an hour while we were packing at the last minute because she wanted to see you.” Andre presses one more kiss to his lips. Closing the trunk behind him as he smiles into it, "It’s your fault we all love you so damn much.”The car is silent, save for the soft music playing through the car speakers. The sun is just barely peaking up behind the clouds. Hyeri’s hand is tight on Dylan’s. She reached for it as soon as he got in the car and hasn’t let go since. Andre’s weight and warmth pressed up against him feels so much like he’s got his own personal forcefield. A safe little barrier of love that he can rest into and close his eyes and not think about anything else.He doesn’t know how long it takes them to get where they’re going. But when his eyes start to open, it’s to the smell of something really delicious and the sound of the car parking.Hyeri’s voice is soft, “Dylanie and Andreie are sleeping. What do we do?”“M’awake” he grumbles softly. Nudging at Andre who
Dylan faces David. The room feels like it’s spinning. He nearly falls over, “What?”“I’m not your biological father. I had suspicions. I’ve had them for a long time, but I confirmed it yesterday with our results..”“So that test… was a DNA test??” Dylan’s knees feel so weak. He genuinely doesn’t know how he is still standing, “What do you mean he’s—”“Oh, I already know your grandmother told you all about my broken heart. You guys enjoyed laughing about it.”Jiah walks into the room, “no one was laughing about your pain. I was trying to help my grandson understand why you’re hellbent on ruining this relationship of his.”“Wait…did you know since you got pregnant?” His head snaps towards Rena, “Did you know that dad isn’t my dad?” He looks at his grandmother, heart breaking, “and did you?!”The look on her face shows nothing but regret.“Wow. So I’m the only one who had no idea. My entire life I’ve been treated like a disgrace in this house. And that’s what it is? Because the guy who k
