The Blast

Sam looked at the door . It was a super thick metal Door.

Patrick came from behind and said,"Go on open it and go inside"

Sam opened the door and was shocked at what he saw . It was the biggest room he had ever seen. Only ,it wasn't really a room. After a distance of ten meters. A transparent glass was placed. And beyond it was a very huge area with no escape. Sam spotted Smith and Ronald and other men talking and spreading the items from a box across the room.

"Oh hey Sam! Come here!",called out Ronald to Sam while he was talking to Smith .

"This is the place where all the experiments and every activity related to our mission will take place. This glass here you see. This the strongest glass you can find! Unbreakable and bullet proof ofcourse. The place beyond the glass in where the thing we are testing on,is to be placed. So , we have no worries about what might happen to us.", explained Ronald.

"They can't be relying on a piece of glass for protection!",said Sam to Patrick.

"Looks like they are ,Sam"

"So bring him in won't you Patrick?", shouted Ronald joyfully.

" Sure thing sir",said Patrick and left.

"Where's he going?"

"You will know Sam. Keep calm",said Ronald , while Smith observed Everything with interest.

" I have a job for you Sam, you might not know how to shoot guns so here is your thing",said Ronald, handing over a long slender rod with a small shining stone on top of it. " The subject try to break through or hurt in any way, which is more than impossible ,then you will use this. I have heard it gives large electric shocks. So handle it carefully!"

Sam studied the object with curiosity and then nodded and went to take a postion where Ronald directed.

"Here he comes",said Mr. Ronald .

Sam turned around and found himself looking at a greyhound.

"No! You can't do it on him!", shouted Sam,"I love dogs! Please!", shouted Sam ,scared.

"You are being very sentimental Sam! Why not concentrate in what is coming? ", shouted Ronald at Sam.

Sam found that every person was looking at him so he thought it better to shut up.

The dog was placed inside the glass. And the door which too was made of glass was still open. The helpless dog , looked around , scared and confused.

"Here Hugo!",shouted Ronald.

And the dog looked at him with ears at alert.

'hugo is a dog!', whispered Sam to himself.

There were two doctors , aged and with glass, standing with note books and computer and some other devices at ready infront of them.

Ronald went inside the glass room with an injection with red liquid. And sat beside the dog. He kept a biscuit on the floor and while the dog ate, Mr. Ronald quickly inserted the injection in his body and got up while the dog hopefully looked up. And Ronald backed out from the door and the men locked it carefully.

Everyone's eyes were on the dog. Suddenly he fell on the ground and yelped . The sound was coming from a loudspeaker connected from inside the glass room.

The dog was panting and yelping and howling. After a few minutes he got quiet and then, he growled, and again. The dog's body started moving and rose atleast ten centimetres above the ground and started writhing in the air and the helpless dog hwled and howled . Suddenly his howls were becoming more dangerous . And then it stopped. The dog got on its four legs. And looked at the the glass and started towards it and smashed at it headfirst. Then got up and barked loudly and again smashed against the glass. The dog howled and howled and then.

"Sir the dog's DNA shows signs of replicating!",called out a doctor.

"What?!"

And then, something happened. Another dog started to get out of the dog.

Like perspiration gets out of the body, the dog the was coming out of his .It was like they were replicating.

"Mr. Ronald ! The dog is producing a copy of himself. Right there! Exactly of same features! "

Now both the dogs of equal height and looked of the same strength, howled, equally. Now they both started banging on the glass loudly .

The smile had faded from Ronald's face. Delight took place of amusement.

"We were not expecting this"

The dogs banged against the glass again and this time very loudly. And the place shook.

Sam was really scared. He doubted the capability of the glass to withstand that much pressure so he gripped on to the weapon that Ronald had given him.

And suddenly the replica of the dog blast. It blasted like a kind of bomb. And the other dog wasn't affected by it. But there was fire and smoke. And panic among the guards.

Everyone was panicking at what was happening.

Ronald found himself out of ideas and looked and the guards and said,"go inside there with your guns and shoot the hell out of that thing".

And all of them looked at Ronald like he had lost his mind.
