Sousanna’s Pov:

“So, what is it now? Why are you rotting like a prisoner here Anne? You eat no more and sleep no more. What are you mourning” I admonished her on her behavior. Is this the way the way a woman of Decardo family should behave.

With her actions like this she is disgracing her. As if she hasn’t enough.

Roxanne lay on the bed perched like a broken woman. She could easily be taken as an old woman in the darkness of the room. Life had left her. She was paper thin. Her brown hair sulked on the pristine sheets. In her black gown, she seemed like a fallen princess. Beauty and youth fade into nothingness with each turn of the night. White chain glistened at her bare neck.

“I have a lot of things to mourn for mama”. Roxanne’s raspy voice told long unheard tales of consumed liquor.
