Seph’s POV:

I woke up with my body aching all over. Soft covers were draped over me and despite the pain, I felt comfortable. I felt freshly washed. I know when I woke up last time, he was beside me.

This time I was not wearing some weird clothes. It was a night suit that reached my knees. A normal-looking night suit. The belt was clasped at my stomach giving me the modesty I craved.

The grief he gives me is never-ending. I clutched the comforter around me tightly. I want to grasp onto life as tightly as I could. Because it feels as if everything is drifting away.

I closed my eyes so I could tune out the world for a minute. If just for a moment I could forget each and everything and could take her in my arms. Imagine her running towards me. Saying my name. My Lia. Dead.
