Emma POVWell, that surely was a weird interview I think to myself. As I rush out of the building, shaking, and trying to focus on my thoughts, I really do not know what to think of all of this. I felt as if I stepped into alternative reality and was now stepping back from some weird dream. It seemed that the interview lasted hours when it was no more than hour and few minutes. I arranged to meet Myra and Nicholas around 1:30so I had some spare time. On my way out, I see Angie at her desk. “Miss Brook” I hear her melodic voice. I turn around and she gives me a smile. “I do hope you join us, it will be lovely to have you with the company Miss Brook” she says. That was very kind of her, but I was utterly confused and did not know what to think of everything. “Err.. Ms. Angela” I mumble, I need to talk to my brother still, you know” I say shuffling my hands nervously. She nods. “He is not that bad, you know”, she smiles. “He Who? What are you talking about????” “Mr. Locke, he’s not that
The tea was warm, minty and oh so good. The aroma was filling my nostrils, calming me down with its rich supple goodness. However, I was not sure if it was tea or being away from Mr. Locke but I was starting to calm down, trying to put this strange day behind me and looking forward to seeing my childhood friends. I texted Leo who said he was on the way to deliver client’s vehicle and would meet with us later. This day is looking up after all I smile to myself. I thought of my childhood memories, almost every one of them was filled with Nick and Myra, the irreplicable people in our lives. I do not know what would have happened to us, had we had to live in a foster care, I thought to myself. They would have probably separated Leo and me, had Nicholas’ and Myra’s parents not stepped up to be our guardians. My secret dream, not even Leo knew about was to adopt, in addition to having children of my own. If I ever “made it”, and became rich or even wealthy, my other secret dream was to help
Amelia POV I was walking briskly back to the corner of the exit from left of the main building. Well, that is how we call it anyway. The whole downtown belongs to the King in one way or another. We have several buildings right on Wilshire to be able to assist him, including the underground tunnels where he housed some of his dragons. When I got promoted as Deputy Head of his Security team, I had to be close nonstop, as did the rest of the team. The King was a mighty warrior, and his power was unmatched, however, there were those who would hurt people around him to hurt him – as he was fiercely loyal and protective of his extended family. “Are you sure you succeeded????”, Valor boomed in my head… “Yes brother, I did. .It is a temporary tracker though, it will last but two weeks max”, I say.. “That will be enough” he cuts me off. “What did you sense???” Valor’s question came back through the link. I knew he would ask this, and for this, I was not prepared. “Well, errr… nothing. I felt
Leo POV Driving through the traffic of Los Angeles is never fun. However, when you are driving a BEAST of a car, life gets much sweeter, I thought to myself!!!! Theo and I have set out to Beverly Hills gated community to deliver the vehicles to the client, as requested. The sun was shining brightly, crystal clear skies, cool breeze, and amazingly smooth ride with roaring monsters of cars! I could get used to this, I chuckled. Driving up to the hills, I glanced back at the city, on the road overlooking ocean – the view was incredible, a setting something out of the movie! Some days I really loved my job!!! Pulling in front of large iron cast gates, a huge buff security guard, built like a house welcomed us. He looked like a WWE fighter standing at around my height, every muscle defined under his black uniform with a strange purple insignia I never saw in my life. He looked at us as if he were scanning us for a few moments, and then nodded. That was intense, I thought. “I see you bro
Cassius POV I sensed him before I saw him. My skin started tingling, my hands shaking. It took me few moments to compose myself and try to calm down, at least outwardly on surface. I never knew or realized that finding my mate would be this intense. The mate bond went into overdrive, all my rational thought gone. I knew I had to see him, touch him if I could. The need to hold him in my arms was waking up within me, threatening to consume me like a burning fire. As if I was guided by invisible force, the bond was pulling me towards the entry gates. Centuries – it has been centuries. I have waited for our mate for as long as I could remember, from my very first shift. The fact that he was here now was almost too good to be true, I dared not to believe it almost. It felt unreal, as if I was in a wonderful dream where my wish for a mate had finally come true. I was scared that somebody will wake me up. Thousand emotions swirled within me, almost suffocating me. His scent was overpowering
Cassius POV The closeness and smell of my mate drove me crazy. I was trying my best not to show my excitement, but just standing there, taking him in, looking over his broad shoulders, the nape of his neck, I was fixated on the marking spot where I wanted my mark on him! Marcus was desperate to make himself known, to claim our mate to have him in every way possible. The way he moved his hair that glistened golden in the sun made my heart squeeze and beat faster. I wanted to stay here forever, with him, if he was close to me, as long as I could see him, smell him. I wanted to kiss him so badly, his plump soft lips beckoning me. Looking over to the second man who came with him, I immediately felt possessive. The jealousy surged through me like a wildfire and I nearly pulled Leo by hand, away from Theo, away from everybody. I wanted him all for myself. “MINE!!!”, Marcus was bellowing in my head. Completely entranced, I did not even realize that I tugged him toward me. “Hey, hey, easy
Emma POV Seeing Myra and Nicholas took away all the stress of the crazy day I have been having. We still must decide; I hear a small voice in my head, and she was right. However, I was not ready just yet. I wanted to unwind and wanted to put the uneasy feeling of this day behind me. I needed to see my friends. Pushing the work-related thoughts to the corners of my mind, I focused on seeing my friends and wanting to talk to Leo. I remembered he wanted to discuss something with me too, so it appeared like we have a lot to discuss. Walking into the restaurant, the smell of fusion aromas hit me, and I hear my stomach growl. I totally forgot I ate nothing today, and now I will make up for that mistake. The mouthwatering smells and flavors were getting to us all, as we sat down still giddy from seeing each other, excited for this moment. “Well, ladies I have some news” says Nicholas coolly. He was beaming with pride – his chocolate skin glistening with excitement. “Ok, come on, come on
Amelia POV Walking hurriedly into the building I look for Lord Wong. As one of the strongest dragon shifters, a made dragon, he was highly regarded in our community. Exceptionally powerful, smart, and loyal, he was one of Kal’s first made sons. Ruler of Eastern territories, he was also a head of First Dragon’s security detail team. Lord Wong was a legend, a ruthless and fair at the same time, somebody younger dragons, both born and made looked up to. His word, in Dragon Kingdom, was second only to Kal or Gabriel. “Lord Wong, I need your help” I mind link him. “I am in the observation room Amelia” comes his strong voice. Turning to the left I walk few paces to the glass door. Putting my hand over the side display, I hear a slight hiss and gliding of the door, to be opened to one of the largest areas on this floor. The “room” was really an expansive place with numerous technicians and other support staff working around the clock on tracking. Littered across the walls and tables availabl
