14. Desire

It was all sunshine when Callie finally arrived with her fiance Brody at the beautiful resort located on a small island which name she already forgot the second she stepped onto the soft sandy beach.

The small chartered flight dropped them off at the dock. Their belongings were taken care of by the staff as Callie let Brody take her hand and guided her to the receiving area of the resort.

"We should sort out the room first before meeting your family." Brody decided while Callie was too busy looking at their surroundings. It was a perfect cozy resort. It was big but not too big. Certainly not what Callie had expected of her cousin that could be over the top sometimes. When the invitation arrived, Callie dreaded coming to her cousin's wedding. Then, her mother told her that she was to bring Brody with her. Callie had felt the intimacy would be too much, but after what happened between them recently, she was having mixed feelings about the trip.
