Chapter 13 What Jessica Likes

"Adela?"

Adela again!

Adam's eyes turned red in anger.

Jessica nodded nonstop, "It was Adela who gave me the share transfer agreement that you had signed and asked me to support Jared today. She said that you knew about that..."

"I didn't know that! Of course, I will support my father!" Adam was furious.

"Your father is always mean to you. He often beats and scolds you, doesn’t he?"

"After all, he is my father! I won't betray him!"

Seeing that Adam was so firm, Jessica sneered in her heart. 'That's it. Without your father's money, how can you hook up with Adela.'

"However, Adela said..."

"Adela! Adela! Don't mention her again! Can't you think about it by yourself?" Adam became angry, pushed away Jessica's hands and left.

Adam once said that smart women were tiresome.

In order to please him, Jessica pretended to be innocent for two years.

Adam was in a bad mood and drove to the TV station to look for Adela.

Adela didn't know what had happened. When they met in private, she hugged him and simpered, "Adam, you promised to let me be the host of Mask's interview. Is it settled?"

As long as he persuaded Jessica refuse to sign the contract, Adela was sure that she would be the host.

"How dare you ask me about that?"

Adam's eyes were bloodshot. "What have you done behind my back? Do you think I don't know Jared is your cousin?"

Adela was surprised after she knew about the twist in the board meeting of Wasin Group.

"Adam, I didn't do that behind your back. It must be Jessica..."

Adam stared at Adela coldly. He was suspicious and didn't believe her.

Usually, Adela was cunning and Jessica was innocent. Jessica wouldn't be able to come up with such an idea!

"We're done."

Ignoring Adela's explanation and supplication, Adam drove away.

On the way, Cain called Adam and said, "Deal with your mistress. You know which one is more important between our family business and your mistress!"

Adam calmed down and realized the most important thing was to comfort Jessica.

He drove towards the Bush's.

Adam was unwelcome among the servants of the Bush family. The Bushes didn't like Adam since Jessica decided to marry Adam.

However, Jessica said that she was saved by a student from the senior class when she was bit by a snake in the summer camp. She had been looking for him for many years and it turned out that Adam was the one.

Since Jessica had made up her mind, the Bushes had no choice but to support Jessica. The Bushes gave Jessica the shares and cash in case the Smiths bullied her.

Adam didn't see Jessica and asked Jessica's mother, "Madam Bush, where is Jessica?"

"Jessica is resting upstairs."

"Madam Bush, could I go upstairs to see her?"

Madam Bush put on a long face. "We respect Jessica. Even if we disagree, we still accept what Jessica likes. If someone pisses her off, we will teach him a lesson. She is tired and not available. Get out of her hair!"

Adam was refused by Madam Bush and didn't have the guts to be impetuous.

Although the Bush family was not as powerful as before, he couldn't piss them off, so he could only leave for now.

Madam Bush came to Jessica's room and was a little worried. "I have sent him away. Jess, do you need any help?"

Jessica smiled and threw her arms around Madam Bush's neck. "Mom, I'm an adult. You can't help me all the time. Let me deal with it, OK?"
