Be my wife??

…… his wife?!

The words echoed repeatedly in my head before my eyes shot up wide as realization of what he meant sank in.

“NEVER!”

I can never marry a demon.

Alessandro smirked coldly and lifted his chin slightly. “Not like your opinion matters,” he scoffed and then nodded to his men. “Drag her to the car,”

Theo…no no!!

“Don’t you dare!!” I shouted, using all my strength to make sure his men couldn’t move me. Even though I was failing miserably, I still kept on.

Does it mean nobody is hearing us.

“I will never marry you!” I snarled and that word seemed to stop him.

Sliding his hand into his pants pocket, he started turning and my heartbeat worsened but I refused to show any sign of weakness. I can’t abandon Theo. And I can’t tell him about him…. I can’t endanger the life of my son.

Swallowing hard, I bite my lips to hold the emotions tearing me up inside.

“You can’t marry me?” He repeated, shocked at my words. “Is that a rejection?”

Asshole, seems I just hit his ego.

I scoffed. “Nobody goes around forcing people to be their wife!”

“Then hand over the five hundred thousand dollars,” he stretched out his hand. And all the bravery in me seconds ago vanished instantly.

I opened my mouth then closed it… opened again and closed like a fish gasping for water.

Alessandro snorted and took a step forward. “You clearly know I can end you here and nobody can question that,” he raised his gun and trailed it from my cheeks moving down and my breath hitched. My heart raced as I stared down at the gun. “….after all, you are a thief.”

“And I bet you even know whose money you stole?” His voice dangerously dropped, scaring the shit off me. “… and nobody took anything from Alessandro Caruso and walked out free.” The gun stopped under my chin and my throat dried up immediately.

Using the gun, he lifted my chin so I could look at him.

He looked hot but at the same time, scary as a devil.

He gave his head a small shake. “I don’t run a charity organization, Mira Parker,”

WHAT?!

My eyes almost budged out.

He knows my name

“Yeah, probably how he was able to trace you,” my subconscious rolled its eyes and I sighed inwardly. But that relief was short–lived.

I watched as his lips twitched devilishly up.

“Surprise that I know your name?” He ticked then his expression hardened. “I know everything about you, little thief,”

He pushed the gun hard on my chin. I gasped, praying to the heavens that he doesn’t hit the trigger.

“Mira Parker ... moved to Silcily five years ago. 23 years," he smirked and my breathing stopped for real this time. “Work at Quiet Fig, a local coffee shop down the roadside during the day then at Noir Paradise during the night,”

He finished in a mocking tone.. just a reminder of how miserable my life was before adding the word that froze me instantly. “Black Cherry,”

Who the hell is this man?

I just took the money last night, not even up to 24hrs and he’s already here with my life information. What the fuck?

“I know everything sweetheart,” he belittled with a sharp sneer. “I know every detail about you,”

And for the first time, fear visibly appeared in my eyes.

Don’t tell me he knows about Theo?

His eyes twinkled mischievously and he goaded. “Worked two years at the house of eve then drugged a man with her friend and eloped with his wristwatch.”

The event of that night flashed in my head and shame washed over me.

Not able to hold it anymore. I glared sharply at him. He thinks he’s better than me! He thinks!!!

Tears burned right at the back of my head. “What the fuck do you want from me?!” I yelled but my trembling lips failed me.

Alessandro strengthened himself proudly and glared back at me with a cruel smirk.

“You know,”

“No,” I shook my head. Trying everything not to let the tears drop. “…….a person like you can’t possibly want me,” I chuckled

And his face split into a deep irritation.

“Don’t think so high of you. You’re nothing close to my class or level, having you in my space is a big privilege for you.” He tracked his eyes from my head to toe, his expression mellowed in disgust before those sharp gaze snapped back at me. “You stole from me, remember…. Ooh and before I forgot!”

“A single mother. Do you even know the father?”

His question hit me hard on the chest

And my ground seemed to shake under me.

I looked up with teary eyes to find his brow arched up, taunting.

“Ex mother,” I swallowed hard. “I lost the baby three years ago,”

Silence

Before he derided. “Better. No child deserves a thief as a mother. Now spare me the long sermon, get her into the car and…”

“I still can’t marry,” I hissed, cutting him off.

He stared at me for a while then motioned to his men. “Fine. Take her to the prison,” he paused and then snarled. “…..you're gonna rot there for the rest of your life.”

His men tightened their grip on me and roughly turned me to the next direction. The harsh grip was so painful but just as I took one step… Theo popped in my head again.

“Mom….. you’re back,” his tiny angelic voice rang in my head as the memory flashed in.

“Are you hurt, mom?”

I shut my eyes, remembering how he’d look at me.

“What’s your wish?” I remembered how I did laughed on his birthday last year after he blew off the candles in his cake. And with a hopeful and grinning face, he muttered. “Mom… I pray you never get to leave me in this life. I love you, mom!”

“What are you guys still waiting for? Get her to that station!” Alessandro’s voice echoed

And I quickly blinked back my tears. And forcefully slipped off their grip…. turning and running

“Hey… get her!”

One of them growled.

But I stopped in front of Alessandro before he could enter his car.

He paused and cocked his brow.

I sucked in a sharp breath. “I….I will marry you,”

His men froze.

He looked at me suspiciously before his lips twinkled cruelly.

“I will marry you… but that’s for months then we split,”

His face darkened at my word and the next thing, I heard the door slammed shut in anger and he quickly pushed me to the car. “Ahh..” I gasped as my back hit hard on the car. But I had no time to recover as he towered over me, trapping me with his body.

My widened gaze moved up to find those fierce hateful gazes on me.

He snarled, “You got no right to decide when I trash you off or not,”

“You….” I started but…” ahhh!!” My voice cut off as he grabbed my neck.

His eyes as scary as death itself. “For someone like you that can’t afford five hundred th dollars in a year and you are telling me months…. No, little one,” he licked his lips aggressively and pushed me harder on the car. “I, Alessandro Caruso, decide when to trash you. Because right now, you’re my little play thing. My toy…. I owe you.”

“No! I’m not your…..ahhh” I screamed as he forcefully turned me then yanked my hair with my front now roughly pressed against the car.

Alessandro leaned in. I gritted my teeth as his hot breath tickled my ear. “I owe you. Your body, your soul, your mind, even the air you breathe all belongs to me from now onwards.”

“You’re mad!!” I managed to sputtered out despite the pain around my scalp.

But his laugh shut me up. “You could have thought of that before stealing from Alessandro Caruso.”

His eyes trailed slowly from my head down to my toes, and I instinctively curled them against the cold marble floor. Then his gaze snapped back to mine, causing my breath to catch instantly. “What are you doing?” he asked skeptically, his deep baritone voice sending a sharp chill down my spine. I quickly cleared my throat and shook my head too fast. “Hmm… I mean nothing. I…” My words stumbled over themselves as I nervously twisted my fingers together. One hand kept fidgeting with the sleeve of the oversized jacket I was wearing… and that’s when it dawned on me that I was still putting on the jacket from that taxi driver. Does this mean.. I didn’t actually take my bath last night? GOSH!! This is unbelievable I immediately shook my head. With everything happening, it probably skipped my mind. I pushed it aside and sighed, hovering my other hand awkwardly in the air like I suddenly forgot what humans normally do with their hands. “I was just..” I gestured vaguely around the ro

Mira I exhaled deeply and ran a hand over my hair in frustration. Since last night that I got here, my heart has not been at rest. I don’t know if to blame myself but anytime I remembered that Theo is getting the treatment he derserves…. The blame vanishes but then again, I miss him. I’m sure he might be looking for me now. I can’t just leave him alone in the hospital, he might be smart and all that but he’s still a child. Oh God! I groaned and dragged in a sharp breath There aren't any escape ideas and scenarios that haven’t crossed my mind since yesterday but the problem is how do I go about it? This is not somewhere to fucking escape from without getting catch. This place is so huge, but honestly….. I trailed my eyes around the room, “this place is so fineeeeee,” I said, awed by the interior of the room. “This is screaming…. MONEY!” I whispered as if the air might hear me. My heart was drumming so fast not out of fear but shock. I haven’t been to a place like this. Ka

Alessandro Caruso The club lights bled red and gold through the smoke, flashing across faces that meant nothing to me. Music pounded through the walls hard enough to shake the glasss between my fingers, but none of it held my attention. I sighed and relaxed back in the corner booth overlooking the entire club, one hand wrapped around a glass of whiskey while the other rested lazily against the leather seat. My bored gaze shifted to the women dancing on the stage with hungry smiles….. watching the way their bodies moved under the neon light like they were performing only for me. Every few seconds, one of them would glance my way, lingering just long enough to send an invitation without words. I was already used to that. I was already used to how women always looked at me like I was something to own. Something to climb into bed with so they could brag about it later. Some wanted money and some just want power…. Fame! While others jist wanted the Caruso name tied to theirs.

Bile raised in my throat immediately. I have heard a lot about him in the strip club, a dangerous creature not to mess with. Every rumor about him was nothing good but terrifying. He looked at me with the kind of contempt that would make a person feel small without a single word being spoken and I quickly lowered my head, not wanting to get distracted by his appearance. He was dangerously handsome, with sharp features, dark piercing eyes and a jawline carved like sin itself. I quickly steal a glance to found how his black hair fell carelessly over his forehead, giving him a wicked charm that matched the cold confidence in his gaze. Then my stupid eyes roamed over his nearly perfect tailored suit and the half done cigarette in his right hand. Damn!!! Everything about him whispered temptation and ruin at the same time. This is my first time coming face to face with him and honestly, the rumors seem right cause he looked like the kind of man who could kiss you gently one mo

Immediately the taxi stopped me, I rushed inside the hospital with the bag of cash in my hand. Luckily, the driver was kind enough to lend me his coat after my pitiful lie. The people passing by the hallway gave me a weird look… I look so messy, from my sweaty face to my hair that had been scattered by the wind. In short, I looked so tattered. Upon reaching the doctor’s office, “Mr Nolan!” I roughly pushed the door open and walked in. “Ahh,” came a woman’s voice. “God!!” He immediately pulled away from the woman he was fucking and instantly shoved his p****k inside his pants. I stopped and looked at the woman who shamefully put on her clothes and rushed out. I glazed at the closed door and then back at him. “Look Mira, I have told you that you should stop showing up like this,” he snapped. “There is nothing we can do. You have to stop begging,” his said dismissively. “Thank God you are even here, because we are even planning on discharging him tonight.”“I have the money
