‘Cole, Kane. That is enough! Honestly, my children behaving in such a way, How disappointing’. I clenched my jaw shut, resisting the urge to both roll my eyes and backchat. I hated when she just turned up and started throwing her weight around, but I had to remember, this might be my house, but she is my mother and I still need to show respect. 

Maggie instantly ran over to her, hugging her and telling her how much she missed her. I just stayed where I was standing. Constantine went over to give our mother a hug too, followed by Kane. 

Suck up. 

‘Don’t you have a hug for your mother, Cole?’ She asked, holding
