Ginny’s Point of View

I was so glad to see Cole and then he left again so suddenly. It upset me. He said he would be back later, but when was later? How long was he going to go again? I had no idea how long I had even been here… this place, wherever it was. I tried to keep track but the minutes, hours, days just blurred. There weren’t any windows, I never knew what time of day it was. I still don’t. 

I just… waited for him to return, that was all I could do. I closed my eyes. I was constantly exhausted recently, but it was painful exhaustion. Still, Maybe I could get a quick nap to help the time go faster.

I struggled, but eventually, darkness took over and I fell into dreamland...

The author notes before and after are distracting. I had to go back and re-read a couple times because it broke the train of thought. That and when did she agree to stay? It’s nowhere in the text. She just randomly tells the reader weeks later? Anyway, no need to update us on your personal life. thx
