“You didn’t tell me that you have friends, Andy,” his mother said to him with a smile.

Then she turned to us, maintaining her welcoming smile.

“I do have some soup left in my pot. Would you like some?” She asked.

“We would have, but we have only just had something to eat,” Susan responded with the same level of hospitality.

It was difficult not to like her, and she oddly reminded me of my mum.

She was so welcoming and kind, and everyone who came into our home always felt warm and welcomed. She did it so much that even when my dad brought the woman he was cheating on her with, she still welcomed her.

Thinking about it was making me really pissed off, and I decided to shake off the thought. Now was all about Autumn, and nothing about me, especially when it happened years ago.

“Yes, we are,” Susan responded.
