ANMELDENMyra’s pov “Good day Walter.” I said with a gentle smile as I walked into the Voss estate. I chose to have a half day at work today. He exchanged greetings with me and we walked further in together. “Alpha Aleric isn’t around but he passed his instructions on what you will be doing today.” He told me and I nodded. I saw him leaving the office earlier with his Beta. “Do you have your training fits?” He asked and I took a brief look at myself. “No I don’t.” I pressed my lips in a thin line. I totally forgot I would be needing one. Combat and defense classes wasn’t my best times in high school since I didn’t have my wolf like most of my mates. Neither was I ever trained as the princess of my pack. I had changed into the tracksuit and training jerseys Walter gave me. It wasn’t exactly my size but it was better than wearing my office clothes. We were now standing at the back of the building where a huge field was. He was also dressed in training fits and he looked more like a warri
Myra’s pov “Sera would show you to your office and let you know everything you need to know.” I said as I walked into the building with Charlotte and Sera by my side. She chuckled at my words but I didn’t pay her any attention. She wanted a position and I made sure to give her one that would keep her busy and away from my business. I walked down to the other side of the building where the boardroom was. I had somehow become the center of attraction once again— first it was for hitting Tiara and now for selling off the Voss land but regardless of the rumors and judgy eyes I have to be out here. No one has a lead yet on who could have framed me up but Aleric assured me they were still searching. I got into the elevator which was a few seconds from closing but someone put in their hands and stopped it. My gaze met his, and he stood frozen for a moment before hurrying through the door before it closed again.“Hi..” The stranger said and stretched out his hand for a handshake. “Hi.
Tiara’s pov “Did you do it?” I chuckled dryly at his words. We had managed to pass through the night devouring each other and I had a feeling he was here for a reason with the way he came at me, but he passed out before he could ask. I got out of the bed and threw on a robe. It seems he is good at ruining good moments. “Is that why you’re here?” I poured myself a glass of wine from the leftover and took a slip. As far as I can remember the last time I tried to approach him, he didn’t pay any attention to me and shoved me off that he was busy. But now he had run right back into my hands because of his Little Miss scandal. “Come on Tiara you know I missed you.” He also got out of bed and threw on his trousers. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. “I just don’t want you to get into trouble.” He added. “If it makes you feel any better. I didn’t do it.” I gave him a knowing look, gulped down the rest of my wine and walked down to the shower. He could use the information however
Myra’s pov “Aunt Polly.” She pulled me in for a hug as I got out of Ethan's car. Sera was also beside her and I also hugged her. I let out a gentle sigh. My heart has never been so at peace in a while. It felt good to be home for the first time in a long time. “My child, you look pale.” Aunt Polly patted my head gently as she looked at me with gentle eyes. Sera must have filled her in on what was happening. My father and Lucia stood by the side with Etahn in discussions and I bowed my head slightly at them before walking in with aunt Polly and Sera. I was well rested. Aunt Polly made my favorite meal and Sera helped me settle in. The injury on my shoulder was healed up already with just a little scar left. I stood beside the window and watched nature do its thing and the cool evening breeze sent shivers down my spine and hit me with thoughts of what could have happened if Aleric wasn’t able to terminate the approval. I have no idea what was in the envelope he handed to the Alph
Myra’s pov “What are you doing here?” I looked at him with pinched brows. It's been only a few hours since the rumors began. “What would people say if they found out I let my fiancée face such a hard time alone.” He said with concern. He must have figured I was here. I'm sure Sera wouldn’t have told him. “If you are worried about what people would say you shouldn’t.” I pressed my lips in a thin line. “I’m here because I know you didn’t approve of it.” The looks in his eyes said otherwise. I chuckled in my head. I can’t believe him. He couldn’t wait to find out if I did approve the project or not since he knows what that means for him. “How sure are you?” I gave him a knowing look and folded my hand across my chest. He was silent. “You should leave Ethan, I'll handle my shit.” I shut the door in his face.I stood for a while behind the door until I heard his footsteps thud against the wooden floor, gradually fading into the distance. . The last time he helped me out, he trie
Aleric’s pov “Everything is under control, no blogs or news channels will push the news.” Taylor said reassuringly before ending our call.I loosen my tie and sat back on the single chair in the room while I looked out the window to the night sky and I poured myself a glass of whiskey to help me relax. The wind blew the scanty tree mildly and other than the sound of the heavy mining machines, the birds' chirp echoed softly. My gaze fell on the other side where Myra’s room was next to mine. She wasn’t asleep. I could hear her breathing but it seemed she wasn’t moving around so much anymore. She must be really worried. Even if she tries to act all strong and tough, I could tell that she is scared. Anyone who finds themselves in such a situation would be. She could lose everything and so would her pack. I have Tyler looking into who the traitor could be. Ethan couldn’t be responsible for the situation. It is too much of a risk for him. He can’t afford to split Myra’s shares he s
Myra’s pov“Please Stop! Please, I beg you, stop!” A stream of tears rolled down my cheek as I lay on the operating table. My stomach was throbbing in pain, my waist was on fire, and even the breath I took was accompanied by a sharp pain. It was too immense. My hands clasped on my stomach, prayi
Myra's POV:His touch for some odd reason burned my skin in ways I never expected. I immediately pulled my hand away from him and made my way out of the huge hall to the restroom, my heart pounding harshly in my chest. What was going on?He was supposed to be my father-in-law yet here I was, feeli
Myra's POV:I let out a long gasp as I jerked up from the bed. I was sweating profusely, both my hands and feet were shaking terribly, my eyes readily scanned my environment and slowly I realized that this was not the hospital.I sat up and looked at my hands, there was no blood, it seemed okay ev
