Lucian's POV

"I... I can't find Violet. She was just here! I.. I dozed off for a minute... I think she saw my messages with you" Mira stuttered, panicking over the phone.

I shot out of my seat, knocking over the glass of whiskey on the table. I sobered up immediately, grabbing my car keys and a jacket. The red dot on my phone screen was moving slowly, but it was still within the vicinity of Mira's apartment.

I looked out of the glass as I drove slowly towards the red dot, not knowing whether she was in a taxi or not. Violet, please be fine. I caught a figure crouching down on the left walkway and stopped.

I didn't need to get closer to find out that the redhead was Violet. I got out of the car and hurried towards her anxiously. She was sobbing so hard that her body was shaking, her hair was down, covering her face and splayed on her back.

I pulled her into a tight hug as relief washed over me. What would I have done if I hadn't found her tonight?

"What do I do with you?"
