I feel like a complete failure when I sink my head into the pillow to rest. I've lost my job, and I don't know who else will hire me. Money is needed if I wish to survive, and I hardly think any other place has a salary as high as the one The Parlor promised me.

I close my eyes, furrowing my eyebrows in annoyance when Wilder's gorgeous face pops up into my head. He took my virginity, and now my heart won't stop pounding when I think of his name.
