CHAPTER 9

LESLEY PERKINS' POV

My heartbeat is erratic and I suck in my breath. Gary notices and he pulls away to stare at me.

"What's wrong?." He voiced out immediately. I blink away what seemed like tears.

"You scared I'm gonna hurt you huh?" He smirks and I shut my eyes and nod. Oh how I wish it were that. I wish it was that simple. He chuckles and palm my cheeks

"I'm not gonna hurt you. I'm sorry I'm damn attracted to you, ever since you walked into my territory I've always wanted to know how your lips would taste like, how your velvet skin would feel like." He paused as his hands went up to cup the male of my neck. Shivers coarsed down my spine, more from his words than his touch. Deep inside my subconscious screamed to get away from this man in front of me, but I couldn't. Not with the way he stared so intensely at me, not with the way he kissed me perfectly. Though my heart was thudding in fear, I shut out whatever demons were threatening to take over my sanity and forced a smile.
