Chapter 10

If I had time to admire the luxurious exterior of his ridiculously tall company building I would be sending pictures of it to Aaliyah, but time is what I don't have and my feet are carrying me faster and faster to the entrance doors.

I pull on the door and find it locked. I spot a few guards in the lobby and I knock hard on the glass door hoping to attract their attention. A tall bulky guy with a bald head approaches the door, but doesn't open it and rather talks through the intercom.

"Miss, we are closed right now, if you need to speak to someone come back in the morning." He states and walks off. 

I stand there with my mouth hanging open, my words dying out before I could even say them. 

He didn't even give me a chance to speak.
