Chapter 05

I followed the ambulance that Gwen was riding in, to the hospital. I noticed from behind that there was another one following that ambulance. I frowned when I noticed Adante's car in the side mirror.

what is he doing where is he planning to go and why is he here? didn't they just get married now? so why is he still following Gwen? I whispered from my mind.

I changed my route so that he wouldn't notice that I was also following that ambulance. I also know where they are going and there is only one hospital closest to our destination.

I spent over a year investigating the personalities of Gwen, Adante, Bon and Hera. It seems that my knowledge is still lacking and I still have things to learn.

I know that Adante's desire is to marry Hera, so that he can claim everything she inherited from his family. When he succeeds in all his plans, he will leave Hera like trash and return to Gwen again, to fulfill what he promised her.

But despite all that, Adante has no idea that Gwen harbors hatred towards him and thinks that she betrayed him by marrying Hera Marcaida. He does not know that Adante is only doing all this for the future of the two of them.

But what if he ends up falling into Hera's trap? what if they both develop together?

What if he gets blindsided by that girl and forgets everything he was planning to do?

How about me? what about all the hard work I've done and almost giving up my own life?

I will not let that happen and I myself will stop him if he happens to fall for that girl.

I parked outside the hospital to watch them from a distance. It's hard, I still have to be careful because the people who kidnap us are not random.

I saw Gwen being taken down from the ambulance. Adante's car was parked not far away, as he followed his ex-boyfriend.

What did he like about that girl and he had to lead to this situation?

Are all rich people really like that? Wealth and money are more important to them, than the happiness of their children or family members?

After all, if you really love someone, you can do anything even if it's your life that will be in return.

I noticed that Adante got out of the car. He seems to be planning to follow Gwen and show her off. I just followed him until he entered the hospital.

I was just about to leave when I caught the attention of a security guard who seemed to be following Adante.

"What is his problem? Why can he look at Adante like that?" I promised myself with a look of surprise on my face.

I held my seat belt for a moment and slowly removed it. I looked around him and noticed that not only the male security guard was watching him, but also other people who were suspicious around him were secretly following him.

It's not good. It seems that someone is watching their every move.

I picked up my hat from the side of the chair and put it on. I got out of the car and carefully went inside.

I secretly looked at the face of that security guard while he was still focused on Adante's location.

From his face alone, it's obvious that he's just pretending to be a security guard and also according to the shape of their bodies, it's obvious that they're fighting hard.

I looked at their faces one by one and almost all of them were secretly glancing at Adante.

From security guards, janitors, pretending to be patients, ordinary citizens and even hospital employees.

All of them were acting suspiciously but there was one of them that I will never forget.

When we both met while he was leaving the hospital and I was going inside.

Our shoulders even collided and our eyes met each other.

It was only for a moment but it seemed like we were looking at each other for more than an hour.

I noticed the grimace on the side of his lips and his eyes as if saying that we have met before.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." He said he turned around and walked out of the hospital.

I stopped for a moment in my walk. I was just stunned by what I heard and stiffened like a rock from where I was standing when I heard his voice.

I quickly turned to him but suddenly he disappeared like a bubble.

where is he? where is that? where did he go? I whispered in my mind as I looked around my entire surroundings, but no matter how I looked, I couldn't catch him anymore, nor did I see his shadow.

I covered my head with my own hands and clenched my fists.

I know that voice and I know it's him. He was the man who was an accomplice in kidnapping us that day.

He was the young leader who taught me that I was working for Adante and I had a strong hunch that he knew me.

I could clearly see in his eyes that he recognized me and the grimace he had on his lips earlier told me that my suspicions were correct.

I swallowed deeply and headed to the restroom. I washed my face and breathlessly looked in the mirror.

I'm not mistaken, he is that man. That's him. But, who is he really?

He is also the man I saw in the church carrying Gwen. Then he also brought her here to the hospital?

What exactly is this man's real agenda? I was sailing in my mind when I remembered his face again and when I bumped into him outside earlier.

He was wearing a white gown, the white uniform that doctors often wear. I also noticed his name pin on the right chest.

Doc. Allen is on. So he's a doctor? and he works in this hospital?

If everything I'm thinking right now is correct, it only means one thing. He was indeed the man who was an accomplice in Bon's abduction of the three of us.

What could be his reason and they thought that their men would kill us?

What kind of mess did I get myself into?

Who are these people and why do they all seem to be focused on Adante, Gwen and Hera?

What did these three do that led them to this situation?

I went to the door for a while and opened it slightly. I peeked outside before closing it again and then, grabbed my cellphone from the back of my pocket.

I called Adante who happened to have just left the hospital and was already inside his car.

I'm still facing the mirror and looking at my face with scratches and bruises, because of the way they beat me the night they kidnapped me and forced me into their car.

"Always be careful," after our conversation, I immediately hung up on him and rubbed my face with the clothes I was wearing.

I carefully walked out of that hospital and simply looked around me. I was stunned and stopped walking when I saw that doctor, Allen heading in my direction so I immediately turned around and walked in another direction to avoid him.

I lowered my hat a little and felt that someone was following me. I increased my every step and added a little more speed because I felt someone following from behind me. I turned to the right where many patients were walking and there were also some female nurses who were supporting the patients.

In order to mislead the person who had been following me, I entered a room, where there were also some patients. They didn't notice me because they were busy talking.

I headed inside their bathroom and immediately noticed a small window. I think I can fit in there so I can get out of this building and escape the person following me.

I tried to fit myself in that window. I'm not very muscular so I got through there without any difficulty.

When I got out of the window, I almost fell from the height of where I was, but I immediately thought of a way to get down.

For a moment, I looked around my whole surroundings from my place and watched all the events from below.

It seems that he immediately told his staff that I am now at the hospital where Gwen is, so he immediately sent his staff who are currently looking for me to find me.

It's not bad where I'm standing now because they won't see me here and find me. This place has a good look out and I can also see from here where Gwen is, where the direction of her room is opposite from here.

I need to get home soon so I can get my tools to use to look out for Gwen.

I looked down again, near the entrance of the hospital where the enemies pretending to be ordinary citizens were still around.

I just winced at what I discovered and found out. It seems like this is going to be a tough job for me, so he should double his payment for my service, because my life depends on it.

My attention was drawn to a garbage truck that was leaving the hospital today. Suddenly, I thought of the security guard I saw earlier and where he was one of the accomplices. I thought that maybe his other colleagues had told him and spread the word about me.

No wonder why he suddenly left the hospital earlier. I'm referring to the doctor I met and bumped into earlier while I was entering it.

So I didn't hesitate to beat the garbage truck when he came to my location.

I wasn't hurt when I fell because I fell on almost all garbage, the smell was just a bit pungent and I knew that this foul smell would stick to my whole body. But that's fine, I'd rather fight with those people. I'd better be careful because someone already lost her life while saving herself, I'm talking about Mina.

The times when I saw him running and escaping from the armed men who smelled like monsters without heart and mercy came back to my mind. Just by their appearance, it can be immediately noticed that they work to kill people and to earn a large amount of money illegally or criminally.

But what shocked everyone the most was the two mysterious people who kidnapped us. I don't know their real reason or agenda, to make them desperate to silence the three of us.

It's still a big question and mystery to me why they want to kill us?

What sin did Adante do to them and they hate him so much that they have to empathize with other people?

But, are they really only after Adante? or maybe Hera Marcaida, the person they are taking revenge on?

I was perplexed and confused. I can't determine which of the two of them is really to blame for all these incidents?

However, I am also puzzled as to why that doctor is taking care of her (Gwen,)?

What is their real relationship with each other?
