“I’m sorry B, did I wake you up? I keep forgetting it’s a different time zone” Cassie says, trying to be apologetic while being jubilant“Its fine, so what’s up?” Brandon replies, rubbing his sleepy eyes“I just couldn’t wait; I had to give you the news” she says delightedly “You know, I literally set my alarm to remind me to call you in an hour, when I anticipated your meeting would be over” He declares “Awwwn, look at you, caring about me and shit” Cassie jokes“Oh shut it Adams. How was the meeting?” Brandon asks, ending Cassie’s jokes“It took barely fifteen” Cassie tells him“You’re kidding” Brandon says in disbelief“I’m not and it went perfectly well” she tells him“That’s my girl! I’m so happy for you” Brandon returns excitedly“Thank you, I still can’t believe I’m finally getting my book published and at Park’s Publishers” Cassie tells him, “Tell me about it, you know what?” Brandon asks“What?” Cassie enquires“We’re definitely celebrating as soon as you’re b
Cassie had gotten ready for the launch and was now heading out of the house to meet Brandon, who had stepped in last minute, as her ride. The boys had gone a few hours earlier to attend to some impromptu hiccup with the venue, and her dad and Alexander had left moments ago. They had mentioned needing to stop somewhere first before heading to the launch, so Cassie called Brandon to come pick her instead, as she wasn’t up for a long drive.“You look stunning” Brandon compliments her as he turns the engine on and shifts into gear“Aren’t you so sweet” Cassie tells him with a smile“Isn’t it weird that you’re attending this launch as both their dates?” Brandon asks, keeping his eyes on the road while remaining curious“It was, when they asked me to, but not anymore” Cassie tells him honestly“Good, because I want you to have fun” Brandon says, almost sounding like her big brother“I will, I promise” Cassie assures him with a giggle“Imagine those two falls in love with you” Brandon
Alex had been driving for over twenty minutes, and Cassie was beginning to wonder if they were leaving townThe launch had barely gone halfway, when the boys said they needed to leave. They had done the necessary things they needed to do and now they were on their way with Cassie, taking her to a place she’d love, or so they had told her. Cassie sat at the back seat while Aaron sat at the front passenger’s seat. They talked at length about the event, and made plans to sleep out tonight.Aaron had told Cassie that they would be too exhausted to drive back by the time they were done at the place they were headed. After a few unfamiliar turns and dark alleys, Alex finally pulls up at a building, with the sign Sins of Zee boldly written on it. It was obvious that it was a night club, as Cassie could see young people trooping in and out. But then again, it looked like a hotel; it was hard to come to a conclusion of what the place might be.“Sins of Zee?” Cassie asks with a raised brow
“Where are we going to?” Cassie asks, as Aaron leads them to another part of the building that had no one lurking around. She had not even realized how they had gotten there. Alex held her through the walk, as they meandered past people whilst doing their best not to bump into them and spill their drinks. Now, here they were, in a lonely corner of what looked almost like another building from the one they were in a while ago“Scared already?” Aaron asks with a smirk, looking over his shoulders to quickly glance at her“Maybe, considering how this place looks, kinda feels like one of those places they sell humans in movies” Cassie replies giggling, while still following Aaron and enjoying the feel of Alex’s hand on her waist“Don’t worry little one, you’re 100% safe with us, that’s a promise” Alex tells her after he had chuckled. For some reason, she believed him, maybe it was the way he said it, his tone, how his voice was calm and assuring, she was not sure, but she believed him.
“Look who decided to come out” Alex declares immediately he sees Cassie walking towards them“Perfect timing” Aaron exclaims, placing the pizza carefully in front of themCassie notices that the two boys had their shirts almost totally unbuttoned, Alex’s hair still in a mess and Aaron’s lips burning red, begging to be kissed again. A smile creeps on her face as she recalls images of what she had just witnessed. “What’s on that naughty mind of yours?” Aaron quizzes, as he catches her smiling“Me? Oh nothing” Cassie lies, shaking the thoughts off, not like it was working“I’ll let you believe that” Aaron tells her, as he walks over to the cupboards, emerging three wine glasses“I’ll go get the wine” Alex says quickly, before standing up, leaving Aaron and Cassie alone“So…” Aaron begins, getting Cassie’s full attention“Yes?” Cassie replies, taking a piece of mushroom that laid perfectly on the pizza“Thank you for taking all of this in nicely” Aaron begins“All of what?” Cas
Brother bear wasn’t exactly the best cartoon to see, considering how it always made Cassie cry, but Alex had insisted they saw it and went on and on about how it was a classic“Are you crying?” Alex teases Cassie as he hears her sniffShe had tried her best to hide it, but it was now overwhelming“No” she lies, turning away quickly“I can clearly hear you, you’re literally sobbing” Alex says with a chuckle“It’s a really sad episode to watch, you can’t blame me” Cassie finally gives in“I know, alright. Come here” Alex tells her, opening his armsCassie stares at him with his grin, before slowly getting up and walking towards him. She slowly enters his embrace and places her frame in between his arms, resting her head on his chest, and taking in all of his scent“Is this better?” Alex asks, gently stroking her hair“It is” Cassie replies, with a smile“Don’t worry, I won’t tell Aaron about how you wept over brother bear” Alex whispers, instantly making Cassie giggle“I didn
It had been a few days since Cassie and the boys got back to Mr. Adam’s residence from the club house; they had gone deep into work, it was almost impossible to see them for more than a few minutes, mostly when they were on their way out again. Cassie had tried starting a new book, but for some reason, the only thing she found herself thinking about was what Aaron had spoken to her about, moving in with them.“Daddy” Cassie calls out as she shuts her room door“Down here!” he responds, trying his best to keep his voice down as he hated anyone shouting on top of their voiceCassie finds her way downstairs, meeting her dad in the living room, where he sis focused on the television“Hey” she says, getting his attention as she walks towards him“Hey pumpkin, you heading out?” her dad asks, surveying her outfit“Yes, I am. Are you okay?” Cassie asks, noticing that he had a look of worry written all over his face“Yes, I am. Where are you heading to?” her dad quizzes, curiously“Bra
The dining table had been silent for a while now; Cassie had her eyes wide open, staring at both her dad and Alexander, while Alex and Aaron ate their dinner, their expressions indifferent about what their dad and Cassie’s dad had just told themCassie finally blinks and takes in a deep breath, she had not seen this coming, and she didn’t even know what to say. She had not spent any holiday away from her dad and even though that was the least of her worries, she decided to think about just that“You guys have to say something” Alexander finally breaks the silence“Something like what?” Aaron asks, not even looking up to face who he was replyingAaron and Alex had not said anything other than replies to questions all through dinner, they had not even given a glance to Cassie since dinner started and she wondered what she had done wrong. Something told her it was all Brandon’s fault for eating her face and kissing her like a psycho, but then again, that couldn’t be why they were giving
