“You must be Cassie” one of the men said.
Cassie on the other hand was in a trance her hormones had created. What were these lustful things her mind was telling her about these men? What made it all more guilt worthy was the fact that these thoughts were of both of them, not one, but both of them, all at once.“Yes, that’s definitely me” Cassie says quickly, hoping they didn’t just catch her lusting after them or maybe she was even drooling.“Nice to meet you, I’m Aaron” the taller one says. He looked like the people’s person, the one who makes friends easily. He had something goofy going on for him and it was attractive. His black hair laid perfectly on his head, partly covering part of his forehead. The longer Cassie stared, the more she felt an invitation to raking her fingers through it. He gives her smile, a very warm and cute smile that has her smiling in return“Nice to meet you Aaron” she replied, stretching her hand to take his in a warm friendly handshake. Their hands colliding send waves of electricity into places Cassie would rather not think about or even dare wonder off to, not right now at least. His hands were a bit cold, yet they made her feel so warm and fiery inside. She hated the feeling of letting go of his palms, she wanted them to hold hers a little longer, they were the perfect remedy for this winter feeling and that wasn’t in an innocent way.“This is my step brother Alex” he declares, gesturing to the man by his side who has a cold stern look in his eyes. It was frightening, yet so inviting for Cassie.“Hi” Cassie said, extending her hand for a shake. He looks at it for a second before turning to Aaron, like he was seeking permission to shake her. Cassie is fixated on his facial features to even notice Aaron granting the permission Alex was seeking with a light nod“It’s nice to meet you Cassie” Alex replies, shaking her hands delicately, but without smilingUnlike Aaron, Alex’s palms were cold, yet so comfortable to hold in the moment, as their hands stayed glued together, Cassie takes another glance at him, he looked like the serious one, almost scary, but something about his aura was interesting she thought to herself. She liked it, he intrigued her and she was drawn to that. For Cassie, Aaron and Alex were like two sides of the same coin and looking at them right now, there was no choosing between heads and tails. She wanted both. This was indeed going to be a lot to digest and live with till the new year was over.“Why are you three still at the door? Dinner is getting cold and were starving!” Mr. Adam yells from the dinning“Shall we?” Aaron asks, gesturing inside the house“Please, it’s your house too” Cassie says, moving aside for both men to enter.Cassie closes the door after Aaron and Alex and watches them enter the house, and head to the dining. She leans on the wall, letting all the tension melt away as she takes a deep breath. What was she doing? For fuck sake! What was she doing? She had just had sex three days ago, what were these thoughts going through her head about Aaron and Alex like she was sex starved? She had to put herself together, get her shit tidied up and focus. These boys are about to be her step brother; she wouldn’t be the first having sexy ass step brothers. Plus, after the new year’s, she’ll hardly ever see them, so focus, she mumbles to herself.“Alright Cas, you need to get it together” she reinforces to herself as she rubs her eyes with her fingers.“Are you okay?” she hears Alex’s cold voice, making her stand up straight quickly. She gives him a quick nod.“Yes, yes I am” she replies with a smile“Are you sure?” Alex asks again, this time he is coming towards her, his face wearing the same expression as when she first saw him, and before she can answer, he is right next to her, his cold hand feeling the side of her neck“Do you feel sick?” he asks, a look of concern shoots across his face as he stares at her. Before she can respond, she suddenly realizes that he now looks disinterested, there was just so many contradictions going on with himCassie stands there, confused and surprised. She wonders how his touch could be so gentle and how the feel of his cold palm on her face literarily made her feel hot“I’m fine, really. Let’s go and eat” Cassie says quickly jerking off from his touch and heading to the dinning. After moving ahead of him, she reduces her pace, waiting for him to catch upDinner was going smooth and Cassie did everything in her power not to drool over the men that sat across her. Every now and then, she would feel their eyes on her, but she made sure not to lift her eyes to check. She was fighting with the fact that she had lost her appetite already and the fact she would be living with these two.Her mind wandered back to when Alex touched her skin, she wanted to feel it again, feel his palms again. She most definitely liked it, loved every part of it, she only jerked away because if she had stayed any longer in that spot, Alex would have definitely noticed how much she was enjoying the feel of his touch. The fact that Cassie’s thoughts were filled with not just Alex’s touch, but the thoughts of what Aaron’s touch would be like, was beyond her. How could she be so attracted to two men, at the same time! Who were brothers! And were her step brothers! Was this how far she had fallen? Was this how bad her hormones needed attention? She imagined what Brandon would say about this, he would laugh so hard, she would punch him and then punch herself. Either way, she had to tell Brandon, because she was certain she was going crazy. But the real question still remained, “how was she supposed to survive all this till the new year?”“Oh yes! That reminds me, the boys are relocating down here after the new year, isn’t that great?” Alexander announces between mouthfuls.“What!?” Cassie’s exclamation gets everyone’s attention as she raised her head to look at her dad and Alex, then turns to look at Alex and Aaron, who for a weird reason, look really happy about it. It almost feels like they like the fact she had been shocked with the news“Yes Cas, they just opened up a branch of their company in town and also bought a few other real estate companies here too, so they’ll be staying here, it’s easier for them, right?” her dad explains, before turning to the boys, directing the question at them“Yes Mr. Adam. We found a place already” Alex says, not taking his eyes off Cassie, like he was watching her every muscle as they moved and formed expressions“Already? I didn’t know that. Where is it?” Alexander asks“just on your way out of town, Alex likes to drive, so we got a place that would let him do that and its lonely, that was my favorite part, so it was the perfect fit” Aaron tells everyone with a smile across his face as he plays with the food in front of him.Cassie doesn’t take her eyes off the two men, she just stays glued, staring at them, but this time not in a lustful manner, at least not completely. She just can’t fully wrap her head around the fact that they are moving into town, even though town is this very big place, with them around, it didn’t feel that big enough anymore.“That’s amazing, Cassie is moving out after the new year too” Mr. Adam blurts out“Oh, is she now?” Aaron asks in a rhetorical manner“Yup, she can’t stop talking about it, she super excited, right darling?”“Yes Daddy, I’m supper excited. Any one wants desert?” Cassie ends the conversation abruptly. She gets up, picking the plates from the table while she let her eyes roam around the room following nothing in particular. Her dad and Alexander are making side comments. Whatever they are saying gets all muffled up in the sound of their laughter, as she slowly turns her eyes to face the boys who have their eyes locked on her already. Trying not to make a big deal out of it, she turns away walking briskly to the kitchen.“I’ll help you with that” Aaron’s voice echoes, stopping her on her track“Sure” she retorts. As she hears his chair squeak, she knows he has gotten up and is following herThe preparation for desert is done in silence. Cassie moves around putting pies in the different plates, while Aaron just stands by the dishwasher watching her, taking in her every movement, enjoying how her muscles tense up each time their eyes meet or she was in close proximity to him. It was a sight to see and he enjoyed every bit of it.“You didn’t look happy about the fact my brother and I are moving into town” Aaron remarks, slowly tucking a loose portion of her hair behind her ear, making sure both their skins grazed each otherCassie feels like jumping in the pool behind the house, her heart is beating faster, it is like she is definitely about to burn the house down with the heat of the moment“Thanks…” she says moving away from him. She picks up the plates and hands them over to Aaron to help carry,
It is now almost noon and Cassie’s mobile phone is buzzing non-stop. She usually wasn’t used to being in bed this long on weekdays such as this. However, staying up to chat with the boys had completely worn her out. She had also got up just after 6 in the morning to make an omelet for her dad and Alexander. Her dad had informed her that he and Alexander had plans to go into town for a brief shopping later that day. He also reminded her make available a set of spare keys for the boys She had made some coffee and toast and served her dad with his favorite mug. She was sure that the boys had woken up from the noises she heard from their room whilst she was coming downstairs, so she hurriedly left breakfast on the dining table for them and returned to her roomShe blurts out every curse word she has learnt over the years, shaking her feet angrily underneath the duvet. She entertains the thought that it may be a life and death situation that was making Brandon call her by this time. She
“Cassie” Alex and Aaron say in unison, before a smirk forms on Aarons lips and the usual cold stern look takes over Alex’s face concealing his initial look of excitement. Both men run their eyes over her body. “What are you two doing here?” Cassie asks them, totally forgetting the reason she was here, for a moment “Work Cassie, work” Alex declares, stating the obvious. “Hello” Mr. Park says, bringing the three out of the awkward silence that was lingering. Cassie had to deal with the reason she came here first and then ask all the questions she needed to ask later, right now, she had to hand over these papers to Mr. Park. She had to bring back her A game “Hi Mr. Park, my name is Cassie Adams, I’m so sorry for the invasion” Cassie spills, making him nod with a smile as he walks out of the elevator, helping Cassie take her attention off the men and focusing it on him “Nice to meet you Cassie, to what do I owe this pleasurable visit?” he asks Mr. Park was a short, robust pot-bellie
The ride up is silent and almost uncomfortable, Cassie keeps staring at each floor button light up, waiting for the doors to open up. She’s grateful for what Alex and Aaron have done, yes it came as a surprise, a really out of this world surprise and it was like all her dreams were finally falling into place She knew they had just played major roles in letting that happen, yet, she didn’t know how to appreciate them appropriately in words. How was she supposed to start? What was she to say? She already felt the awkwardness strangulating the air in the elevator with them They had just become a part of her life yesterday and they were already doing so much, it was insane, but she loved every bit of it. Before she could distract herself with some other random thought, the elevator doors slid open “This way” Aaron tells her, gesturing to the direction of what she recalled, used to be the boss’s office Cassie spent most of her days in Brandon’s work place, every free time she got, she
Cassie sat at the back seat of the car, staring blankly at mostly nothing but greenery. Alex was behind the wheel and they were somewhere on the outskirts of town now, in-between forests; mostly just trees. Cassie liked the serenity around the location as there were hardly any cars plying the route, which made the drive now super quiet and lonely, but for their occasional chatter. She loved the trees that filled the area, perfectly lined up, like they had been deliberately planted in that manner. Cassie wasn’t familiar with the collection of French contemporary artists of the millennium, but for some weird reason, she enjoyed this particular album by Jane Fostin. She wished she had taken her French classes more seriously, maybe she would have known what the song was about. But all of that didn’t stop her from enjoying the sweet soothing melody that blasted from the radio.“Why aren’t you worried? We could be kidnapping you; you know?” Aaron says, instantly getting Cassie’s attentio
There was a parting within the crowd on the dance floor, through which Cassie weaves her way, instantly dancing faster to the loud music. She throws her head backwards and balances her hand on her hips. She can suddenly perceive the strong smell of the joint and a presence around her, so she opens her eyes to see Alex standing in front of her. She smiles at him, takes the joint from him, puffs it, passes it back and eases back into her dancing, this time aware that Alex is just beside her. She could feel him close to her and she liked how he wasn’t going anywhere. She feels his muscular hands snap around her waist, and she tilts her head as he pulls her towards himself. He grabs her hands as she spins around letting go while he does a moonwalk. He looked like he too was enjoying the loud music. Cassie turns around, giving him her back and letting his both hands find their way around her waist as she begins a slow wind. She spins around again and looks across to where they were sit
Cassie cannot stop thinking about their impending trip to Korea and her chance to finally convince Mr. Parks to publish her bestseller. She had been preparing for this opportunity and all she needed to do now was get over the line; whatever it took. There was still a little over forty- eight hours before they were scheduled to depart but she was already feeling a little anxious. She had dedicated time specially to go over the work again, making sure every chapter was near perfect. This was a once in a life time opportunity and she wanted to make it count. These past few days, she had hardly spent time with the boys, as most of the time they would have left for work before she found the time to come downstairs and by the time they got back, she was already either tucked in bed or too engrossed in her editing.Alex and Aaron had been preoccupied with meetings all week long. They were introduced to the staff; including Brandon and Mr. Cho whom they recalled from the day Cassie had s
Cassie had done her final packing arrangements and had gotten off the phone with Brandon, who was trying to help her feel a bit more relaxed, not like it had worked though. She had not managed to get any quality sleep all night, so she finally gave up trying and had gotten out of bed by five. She was excited and anxious about the trip because she had never been to Korea all her life. It was one of her favorite places, considering how addicted she was to Korean drama. Traveling had never really been a thing she did often; between raising her and work, her dad never really got the chance to take her on travel vacations. She did what she could to at least see a handful of places and she often wondered if it was because she was a writer that made traveling so poetic for her, but she loved the mere thought of new people, new cultures, new beliefs and everything that came with vising a new place. Here she was, going to one of her dream countries to fulfill one of her greatest dream; h
