KAYLA POV

I was lost in the world of uncertainty as I slumped to my bed. It seems like I left the physical world to a world that I can't understand. I had the same emotions as a mother who lost his only child.

"Kayla, Kayla!" The whispering I heard became more paramount as I slowly became conscious of the real world.

"Don't take it so hard on yourself", Lucas said as he came over and sat by my side.

I stood up gently and sat by his side. Trying hard to compose, I failed as I sobbed silently. Lucas's hands stretch out and cuddle me to himself. My head involuntarily leaned on his shoulder as he patted me repeatedly.

"When will I get my secure life again as a free person?" I asked Lucas between sobs.

"Surely you will have your secured life back. Let's just wait for Detective Joe to trace the suspects and I'll personally bring them to book"
