Lina’s POV

I didn't know how exactly I was to describe what I felt, but I knew that I was glad at what had just happened, that was if it was true.

My mother's lips curled into an oh as she inched closer to him, probably thinking Emily had done it and she was cruel.

“ Oh my, how could she have done such a thing? No one should do something like that to anyone, how are you feeling now? Have you thought about how you are going to explain it to your parents?”

“ She didn't do it, I did.”

My mother's face morphed into shock before she managed to ask. “ You did? Why? I was thinking she had done it.”

“ I don't love her, and I don't want to be forced into a marriage where I don't love who I will be getting married to so it was best that we went our separate ways, at least now that it was salvageable.”

“ Your parents must not have taken it in the best way, is that why you slept here last night? You got into a scuffle with them?”
