Chapter Forty Two

There was silence between the duo for a couple of seconds.

“What do you mean?”

“I asked you a question, Daniel Tucker and I want you to answer me.”

“Mom, what does this have to do with the question I asked you?”

“You were involved with her twice, you made her sign a marriage contract and now you are keeping tabs on her! It’s abnormal to behave this way towards someone that you don’t have a deep interest in.”

“You love her, don’t you?”

“I don’t do love.”

“With this behavior, you are never going to have her.”

“How do you know? She signed a contract!” Daniel said possessively.

“You don’t know who you are dealing with, do you?”

“That’s why nothing seems to be going the right way despite all the efforts that you are putting.”

“You think she’s just like any woman who will be lured into your arms all because you are Daniel Debock Tucker?”

“The first step to doing the right thing is to admit your feelings before her. That is going to give you a clearer head on how to go about things. She’s a
