AUTHOR’S POV
~TWO MONTHS LATER
Things had changed drastically.
Silas had grown protective of her and he had never found it in himself to ever tell her the truth.
Sara let herself open up to Silas and be true to herself.
They were moving at a fast pace with their relationship.
Sara had started smiling more and more. It was all because of Silas. As the wall was down between them, they began loving each other the way they wanted to do it.
The Alexander Project was going well and Lexingtons were almost back to their original glory, but the effects of the previous damage were still visible.
The war for inheritance was on.
Maria, Ryan, Camelia, Aunts, Uncles and Henry Lexington were out of the fight.
There were only two possible inheritors. Rowan and Sara.
Sara had worked diligently and she was in favor with Grandfather Magnus who trusted her more now.
Sara
AUTHOR’S POVIt was the dumbest thought she could ever have. Sara thought and decided to confirm if it was really Albert Alexander or not.She opened up her mouth but the old man with an awfully familiar voice, didn’t give her any chance to speak.“ Is Sara around? Don’t tell me you still haven’t told her… ” He sighed exaggeratedly and Sara’s blood froze in her veins.“ Tell her about yourself soon. You can’t keep this up. ” He advised, thinking of her as Silas and hanged up on the call.Sara pushed the phone away from her ear and stared at the screen for a good minute, before silently placing it down on the side table. This was not really true and he was not hiding anything. Must be a wrong call, she lied to herself, trying not to panic or feel hurt. She was in a phase of denial. She trusted him so much that she didn’t want to believe there coul
AUTHOR’S POVLast day had been beautiful. She confessed to Silas and he did too.For a moment, Sara forgot about everything but the logic and facts forced her to think about everything again. The voice definitely belonged to Albert Alexander and what he said was…Terrifying for Sara. She had to confirm things so she asked her private detective to run a background check on Silas again. His parents did die in an accident and he was in the orphanage but after two years of staying there, he went somewhere else. There was no record after that. No school. No college. No job. No relative. Nothing. How could she miss something so important the last time? Maybe, she was drowning in self – pity and she didn’t think things through. She was sitting in her office right now, thinking about everything as she read the detective’s mail on her laptop. Her phone suddenly began ringing and she looked
AUTHOR’S POVShe was in a trance. Even when she saw him laying in the middle of the road, people gathering around him, she didn’t move from her spot. Her body was frozen in time.Grandfather Albert was informed by security. They took him to the hospital. The moment Grandfather Albert came to her, she broke out of her trance and rushed behind him because he had asked her to follow. This was the third time she had felt so hysteric and scared in her whole life. The first time was when her mother died taking her childhood away, the second time was when she had accidentally killed Gabriel which resulted in being losing another part of herself and then today…She was sure if something happened to him, she was not going to live for longer either. All thoughts of getting deceived disappeared altogether. She could leave him but she couldn’t bear him leaving her. Ever.Sitting in the hospital waiting room, she
AUTHOR’S POVShit. She cursed at herself as she picked up the pregnancy test kit from the pharmacy like a thief. Her eyes moved around her to see if someone was watching her. Finding no one recognizing her or looking toward her, she hurriedly picked up the kit and threw it in the basket. The baseball cap she wore over her head helped her keep her identity hidden. What was she even doing? She hissed internally, walking toward the payment counter. She was sure that she was not pregnant, but she was not sure that she was not pregnant at the same time. That Ungrateful Bitch Silas was not in the mood of waking up either. It’s been a whole day.Freaking. One. Day.He still didn’t wake up. Grandfather Albert had disappeared yesterday and he was still nowhere to be seen. She was all alone stuck in a bloody hospital. She stopped in front of that damn poster every single time she passed by. She had a fi
AUTHOR’S POVMaria took Sara along with her. They reached Lexington Villa where everyone was awfully nice to Sara.“ Who could have known that peasant would turn out to be so powerful. ” Grandmother Eloise had commented happily. There was no disdain in their voices for Silas anymore.“ Sara just turned out lucky. She wanted to get rid of Silas so bad. I bet she wants to stay attached to him now. ” Ryan had taken part in their session of comments and opinions.Sara just sat silently in one corner, waiting for Grandfather Magnus to come.Rowan had told her that Grandfather Magnus was sick. Sara feared she would never be able to meet him if she had refused to meet this time.Henry Lexington was sitting in a corner. His eyes were observing his daughter’s face. She looked worried and unhappy. Was she not happy with Silas? He thought about the possibility, but he had seen how Silas did wh
AUTHOR’S POV“ I am pretty sure the hospital is on the opposite way. ” Sara pointed out to Jake who was sitting on the backseat with her.“ Sir is at home now, Ma’am. ” Jake replied calmly when all Sara had been doing all the time was getting angry at him.Sara sighed out and looked outside at the trail of trees passing by. Home. Grandfather. She understood it better now.She was relieved but she was anxious at the same time. She felt sad too. She knew why, this time. She had all the answers she needed now. There was no confusion left. She was sad because Grandfather Magnus was dying. No matter how much she despised him or how much that family hurt her, they were still human beings. Death was a sad phenomenon. After a while, Grandfather Magnus will be dead and that family was going to be destroyed. Nothing will be left of them.By then, Sara too wouldn’t have anyone by her sid
AUTHOR’S POV“ I want divorce, Silas. ” After she said this out aloud, Silence consumed them both for a while.Silas was expecting an outburst, an angry tantrum but not this rushed decision of separation for life.He set his lips in a thin line, his eyes narrowing down to observe her closely. She was avoiding eye – contact with him.“ Repeat it. ” He spoke slowly, his tone deadly. “ Say it again, Sara. ”Sara lifted her head, her gaze settling on his light brown orbs. Did he think he could scare her into changing her decision? No, he couldn’t do it anymore.“ You had a chance. I gave you one. You could have told me, but you didn’t. Why? Because, you didn’t trust me like I did? Or were you just taking advantage of my love? What was it that you tried to achieve by pretending to be someone else? ” Sara got up from the chair, her eyes glaring at Silas
AUTHOR’S POV“ I can and trust me…I will, Dear Wife. ” Silas’s hold over Sara’s wrist tightened as he proclaimed.“ I am leaving. ” Sara pried his hand off and glared at him.Deep down, she had a hunch that she committed a mistake coming here. It was the Lion’s den and it would be impossible to leave from here if Silas didn’t let her go.“ Try leaving then. ” Silas challenged, their egos finally clashing.“ So you will do this to me now? ” Sara spoke, hurtfully.“ I have to do this. You are acting like a three year old for God’s sake! It’s marriage. It’s not some dollhouse play where you can leave everything halfway so easily. ” Silas pushed his hair back, his head beginning to hurt due to the stress Sara was causing him.“ First, we will talk it out. If I can’t convince you to forgive me then
