Chapter 9: Doubt

Carina’s POV

I dashed out of the shower in my wet clothing and ran straight to my horse. I hiked up despite my extreme cold.

While I was looking at him from a distance, I suddenly felt compelled to return to him, but I’m not going back there; he’s the guy I swear I’ll never love.

When I got home, my clothes were dry, I didn’t see my mom feeding the animal farm, so I went to see the animals and provide them some food while holding back my tears, thinking about what had happened today.

Then my mother arrived with some groceries from town, smiling and said, “Oh, you’re already here! I made your favorite food, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. when you finished what you’re doing, come to the kitchen, okay?”

“Okay, mom.”
