Chapter 9

Kaylee pov

She didn't come back as she said she would. I have only seen one guard come into the room and change the tray last night, and I have seen the same guard two times today.

I've spent my time in here sleeping and looking up at the ceiling for the whole day. The Alpha haven't been here either.

I had thought he would come back last night, but all I have been hearing is some voices from other rooms and a lot of screaming. I have my idea what is happening but by the sound of them, I know there are other people in pain.

For every hour that passes, the pain in my body subsides and when I look at my stomach and ribs, the blue and black spots are almost gone. I don't know when I have ever been healing this fast before, and it might be that I will turn eighteen soon.

Hearing a pair of heavy steps walking down the stairs, I sit up on my bunk and look out the window. It's dark outside, and they turned off the lights inside my cell a long time ago.
