Rita kept looking at the clock on the wall, feeling anxious. Her heart was racing in excitement. She didn’t know whether it was because she would be going to an event, or it was because she’d be spending time with Chris.
She was no fool.. she knew what the flutters in her stomach or the tingles coursing through her when Chris was in close proximity meant.
It was totally confusing. She thought she loved Eric. After all, he’s all she’s ever dated ever since she came of age.
Rita had to learn to love Eric in the past after seeing his efforts. He was a hopeless romantic. He would surprise her with flowers and gifts by her room’s doorstep back in the university.
When she was once admitted in the hospital for dehydration, he had secretly entered her room and placed a humidifier and some flowers in the ward for her to be comfortable.
Although Eric would pretend like he didn’t know what Rita was talking about when she thanked him for the surprises.
