Chapter 67: Why are you here?

“Where is my mother?” Christian inquired.

“In the dining room,” The head helper answered.

“And my brother?”

“He left before your mom arrived.”

“You and the other helpers are dismissed and do not come here until I send you,” Christian instructed to which the head helper bowed and left to carry out his instruction.

Without wasting time, he headed to the dining table not before sending a message to Aaron to keep an eye on Mabel.

When he got there, he saw his mother seated at the head of the table, drinking a glass of juice. "Mom, why are you here?” Christian probed in a calm voice as he took his seat beside her.

"I came to your house to see my son, especially after our little confrontation yesterday," Kate replied in the same calm voice as Christian .

“And you’re still doing the same thing you did yesterday that got me mad. You sent her home didn’t you?” He inquired and he saw his mother scoff.
