Chapter 59 - Remorse

Tara had been in a coma for 48 hours and that two days she was unconscious was like hell to me.

Not seeing that bright and shining purple eyes of hers and hearing not her melodious voice was a real torture.

I missed her calling my name.

I missed her smile that warms my heart.

It was almost unbearable to see her unmoving body and pale face.

And when she finally did wake from unconsciousness, I was in agony as she wept upon knowing that we lost the child.

"Babe, I p - lanned to s- urprise you on our anniversary b - ut I'm sorry I lost our b - aby, they're gone," she said between her sobs.

As if thousands of daggers pierced my heart when all she had in mind was to make me happy.

Yes, I had waited for us to have a baby. But what's important to me now is that she's alive.

"Please don't cry, it's not good for you to cry," I stroked her back to pacify her. <
