Chapter 3

Author: Snail
Brad took Ellie straight to the wedding venue, where the dons of all the major families in Iacon had already gathered in the banquet hall.

Brad's last-minute change of bride did not cause too much of a stir. On the contrary, everyone envied the girl who had suddenly taken my place.

"Don Henderson would rather give up the fiancée he spent so many years with just to marry her. This must be true love."

"Who is she? God has smiled upon her!"

Ellie raised her head proudly. At this moment, her heart finally settled, and she rejoiced that she had made the best choice.

Throughout the entire ceremony, Brad held Ellie's hand.

It was as if by doing this, the tragedy of the previous life would not repeat itself.

When exchanging rings, Brad subconsciously paused for a moment.

His gaze swept across the banquet hall, but he did not find any sign of me.

His heart felt inexplicably tight, but he quickly comforted himself, "It's fine. Once the wedding is over, I will make it up to Amy. She will forgive me."

Meanwhile, I was sitting in the living room of the Casio family manor, with wedding proposals covering the space in front of me and dozens of designers standing in a row.

Henry sat opposite me, flipping through the design sketches.

"Not this set, it's too simple. Redesign it."

He had a face full of nitpicking, while I said cautiously, "Actually, there's no need to go to so much trouble. It's just a wedding..."

Henry suddenly snapped his head up, looking at me with dissatisfaction.

"Of course, a wedding is important. Every girl deserves to have the wedding of her dreams."

He stared at me and suddenly said, "Ellie said one thing right. You are a good girl. No matter what happens, you shouldn't be mistreated."

He pushed a file in front of me.

"This is the wedding invitation list and the arrangement checklist. Take a look and see if anything was missed."

I lowered my head and opened it, only to find that it not only included the Casio family's people, but also many of my close friends.

And in the arrangement checklist, even the flowers I liked, the bands I liked, and the pastry chefs I liked were recorded clearly.

My eyes suddenly welled up with tears.

Henry was a very good husband. It was a pity that because of Ellie, he had a tragic ending in my previous life.

In this life, I'd make it up to him.

As for Brad, since he chose Ellie, I would have absolutely nothing to do with him.

After the wedding ended, Brad finally breathed a sigh of relief. The regret that had weighed on his heart for so many years in the previous life was finally made up for.

Now that Ellie was his wife, she would not leap from the rooftop like in the previous life.

As long as Ellie lived safely, everything in this life was worth it.

My pale face suddenly flashed through Brad's mind, making his heart feel somewhat irritable.

"Someone, prepare one hundred million euros for me... plus that manor in the South District. Put them under Amy's name."

Just as his assistant, Peter, nodded to note it down, Brad changed his mind again.

"Add two more hotels and a commercial street."

"Don, this has already exceeded the normal range of compensation."

Brad fell silent for a moment, letting out a long sigh.

"She was with me for so many years. This is what she deserves."

However, the next day, when Brad saw a photo of me coming out of a jewelry store, he changed his mind yet again.

I was walking out of the jewelry store empty-handed, and his heart suddenly felt uneasy.

Many years ago, the Henderson family was in the midst of internal strife.

To stand by him as he made his comeback, I sold the jewelry my mother left me, stayed with him in the shabbiest apartment, and ate the cheapest bread.

Brad recalled his promises to me. That in the future, he would give me the best ring, the best wedding, and the best life...

Deep regret rose in his heart, so he loudly called over Peter.

"Prepare another, more luxurious wedding. Change the venue to the San Vito Estate. Invite the leaders of all the families in the entire Iacon. Use the highest specifications for the wedding dress, jewelry, and flowers."

Peter advised hesitantly.

"Don, yesterday's wedding already let the entire Iacon know Ms. Ellie's identity and see your regard for her. There is no need to hold another wedding."

Without even thinking, Brad denied it.

"Yesterday's wedding was just to soothe Ellie's emotions. We didn't even register the marriage.

"Anyway, Amy is my true donna. I want to give her an even grander wedding!"

Peter looked completely at a loss, stammering as he replied, "Don, you want to hold a wedding ceremony with Miss Amy?"

"Exactly!"

"But... she's already getting married! The Casio family just bought the live broadcast rights for the whole of continent. A formation of helicopters, yachts, and satellite signals will simultaneously broadcast Don Casio and Miss Amy's wedding of the century live."

After learning the truth, Brad broke down completely. He returned to the Henderson family manor in a daze, full of regret. He walked through the door and went straight to find Ellie, his face frighteningly cold."Ellie, leave the manor. I will give you a sum of money as compensation."Ellie was full of disbelief."Brad, what are you talking about? We already held a wedding. I am the donna of the Henderson family. Where do you expect me to go?""We never registered. This wedding does not count."Brad's every word was cold and heartless."I have never loved you. That day, I was only afraid you would do something rash. I can no longer deceive myself and continue down this wrong path."Ellie shook her head, stepping forward to pull at Brad's sleeve, and begged."Brad, I don't long for your sincerity anymore. As long as you acknowledge to the outside world that I am your donna, that is enough. I will stay quietly in the manor and absolutely never disturb you. Please don't drive me

A few days later, Brad drove back to the Henderson family manor, exhausted.Seeing Brad walk through the door, Ellie quickly hurried forward to greet him."Brad, you're finally back. How about we find somewhere to travel and relax?"Brad felt stifled and weighed down. His mind was filled with business matters, leaving him no energy for amusement. His tone was indifferent, carrying undisguised exhaustion and impatience."Not in the mood."Looking at Brad's appearance, the grievances Ellie had bottled up for so long suddenly burst."Brad, why on earth do you treat me like this?! We're married, yet since the wedding, you have been cold to me, without half a shred of sincerity!"She stared fixedly at Brad, every single word carrying bitterness."If you didn't like me, why did you insist on marrying me back then? Why did you give up on Amy and choose me, only to turn around and torture me like this?"Brad froze slightly. Looking at the distraught Ellie, his Adam's apple bobbed twi

Various cooperative projects were running into problems one after another, presenting endless trouble.Brad could only spend his days holed up in the company office, overwhelmed with work. The atmosphere in the office was heavy and stifling. Peter stood to one side, looking at Brad's frustrated face, and spoke in a low voice."Don, there are so many thorny projects recently. If Ms. Amy were here, it would be great."The movement of Brad's hands flipping through the documents suddenly stopped, and he fell into silence.Dust-laden memories rushed to the surface all at once.Thinking about it carefully, the Henderson family's ability to stand out against competition in the previous life and secure its position as the top

After returning to Napoles, Ellie felt a surge of relief. She thought that since Brad had seen with his own eyes that I had married someone else, he would finally give up.From now on, Brad's heart would only hold her alone, and she would be the donna of the Henderson family. However, she quickly discovered that matters were not at all like what she thought. One day, Ellie passed by the garden and heard Brad giving instructions to the butler."The lilies in the garden are a bit withered. Replant a batch of the freshest ones."The butler complied. Brad then added another sentence, his tone carrying a gentleness that he himself had not even noticed."They must be white. Amy likes white lilies the most."Ellie, in the distance, stamped her feet hard against the ground in anger, but in the end, she did not erupt. She comforted herself with the thought that Brad had not let go for the time being, and that once more days had passed, he would understand who was truly by his side.No

Henry lifted his hand and gently patted the back of my hand. Then, he walked straight to the front of Brad, his gaze staring directly at him without a single shred of backing down. The entire venue fell into dead silence. Everyone stared at the scene of the two major mafia dons confronting each other once again.Henry's expression was solemn, his tone carrying a hardness that brooked no defiance."Brad, as you can see, Amy chose me willingly. I advise you not to even think about ruining our wedding."His gaze was ice-cold, carrying the unique deterrence of a Sicilana don."If you insist on causing trouble, don't blame me for being impolite. This is Sicilana, not your Napoles where you can act willfully!"With that, Henry raised his hand to signal the bodyguards behind him to step forward."Please escort Don Henderson and his newlywed wife out of here."A crowd of bodyguards surrounded them in a uniform line, adopting a defensive posture and forcing Brad to step back.Brad's fa

As Brad's words fell, dozens of bodyguards in black flooded into the hall. The guests fell back one after another, and the air instantly grew tense.Henry took a step forward, shielding me behind him."Brad, this is Sicilana, not your Napoles.""Give Amy to me." Brad looked at him coldly, his tone hard and stiff. Henry simply laughed. "On what grounds?"Brad's voice was ice-cold, pronouncing each word with deliberate emphasis."On the grounds that she was originally my fiancée. I do not acknowledge this wedding."The smile on Henry's face vanished completely."Whether you acknowledge it or not, does it matter?"The priest acknowledges it, the law acknowledges it, and the entirety of Iacon acknowledges it. As of just now, Amy is my wife."Brad's expression turned extremely unpleasant."She is acting on impulse. Once she calms down, she will leave with me."I finally spoke up calmly, "Brad, I won't leave with you. I'm married now."Brad's expression changed."Amy, stop mak
