Chapter 2

Author: Snail
Henry gazed at Ellie, promising with deep affection, "Ellie, no matter what happens, our engagement still stands."

Brad also looked at her, his tone equally firm, "Ellie, I will marry you. I am a man of my word!"

Ellie hesitated for a long time. Brad and Henry were both famous mafia dons in Iacon, capable of making all the girls go crazy.

She quickly weighed it in her mind and soon made a decision.

Her voice trembled as she said to Henry, "I'm sorry, Henry. Brad and I... have already crossed the line. I can only choose Brad."

Ellie walked toward me and placed my hand into Henry's palm.

"It's all because of me that things turned out like this. Henry, my sister is very good. Marry her. Consider it as making up for my mistake."

"Nonsense!"

Brad was the first to pull a long face, his voice as cold as ice.

"Ellie, you don't need to make it up to anyone. This matter is my responsibility..."

He looked straight at Henry, his gaze sharp.

"Three shipping lines in the South Port, plus two weapons depots, are all yours. Consider it compensation."

Everyone gasped. Such compensation was truly shocking.

However, Henry only sneered. "Do you think I lack these?"

The two men's gazes met once again, sparks flying.

I suddenly spoke up, "If Henry is willing, I'll marry him."

Everyone froze. Brad snapped his head around to look at me.

"Amy, do you know what you are saying? The person Henry likes is Ellie. Knowing that, you still want to marry him?"

I lowered my eyes, unconsciously thinking of Henry's ending in my previous life.

To avenge Ellie, he did not hesitate to break into the Henderson family manor with a gun, but in the end, he lost.

The Casio family empire was swallowed. His trusted men either died or scattered, and Henry, once a high and mighty mafia don, was cast out.

In this life, I would just consider it as paying back a debt.

Henry suddenly laughed. He held my hand, his eyes filled with interest.

"Failing to marry Ellie is indeed a pity, but marrying Brad's ex-fiancée seems quite good too."

Brad's face instantly darkened.

"Henry, she is not a tool for you to take revenge on me."

Henry scoffed, "Brad, weren't you quick to snatch my fiancée? What are you pretending to be now?"

He stopped looking at Brad, whose face had turned suddenly pale, and turned around to say to me gently.

"Since you are willing to marry, starting from today, you are my donna, the future matriarch of the Casio family."

Brad stared fixedly at me, gritting his teeth as he said, "Amy, you'd better think it through carefully. You will definitely regret this."

"I won't regret it."

I did not even give Brad a single glance.

Instead, I looked at Henry, saying seriously, "Henry, I'm not doing this out of spite, nor am I trying to take revenge on anyone. Marrying you is a decision I made after serious consideration."

Henry stared at me for a few seconds, then suddenly laughed.

"Interesting. It seems the most sober person today is you."

Brad's face completely cooled down, and he let out a cold laugh.

"Amy, since this is your choice, no matter what happens in the future, don't come looking for me. Let's see how long you can last."

He pulled Ellie and walked straight out.

For some reason, Brad's reaction made Ellie feel a faint unease in her heart.

"Brad, if you can't let go of my sister, it's still not too late to go back now."

She looked up at Brad, her eyes full of tears.

"I don't want to make you make a decision you'll regret because of me. If the person you truly like is still my sister, I'm willing to step back."

The hesitation in Brad's eyes quickly disappeared. He held Ellie's hand, his voice incomparably firm.

"In this life, I will not let anything happen to you again. I chose you, and I won't ever regret it. As for Amy..."

He paused for a moment, his tone full of certainty, "She's just acting out of spite. Once she calms down, she will come back to find me."

In his heart, I was still the Amy from the previous life, who only had eyes for him.

"It's impossible for Amy to marry anyone else. She will soon regret today's decision. When that time comes, I will give her a sum of money, enough for her to be free from worries about food and clothing for the rest of her life."

"But what if..."

"There is no what-if. She won't marry Henry. Absolutely not."

After learning the truth, Brad broke down completely. He returned to the Henderson family manor in a daze, full of regret. He walked through the door and went straight to find Ellie, his face frighteningly cold."Ellie, leave the manor. I will give you a sum of money as compensation."Ellie was full of disbelief."Brad, what are you talking about? We already held a wedding. I am the donna of the Henderson family. Where do you expect me to go?""We never registered. This wedding does not count."Brad's every word was cold and heartless."I have never loved you. That day, I was only afraid you would do something rash. I can no longer deceive myself and continue down this wrong path."Ellie shook her head, stepping forward to pull at Brad's sleeve, and begged."Brad, I don't long for your sincerity anymore. As long as you acknowledge to the outside world that I am your donna, that is enough. I will stay quietly in the manor and absolutely never disturb you. Please don't drive me

A few days later, Brad drove back to the Henderson family manor, exhausted.Seeing Brad walk through the door, Ellie quickly hurried forward to greet him."Brad, you're finally back. How about we find somewhere to travel and relax?"Brad felt stifled and weighed down. His mind was filled with business matters, leaving him no energy for amusement. His tone was indifferent, carrying undisguised exhaustion and impatience."Not in the mood."Looking at Brad's appearance, the grievances Ellie had bottled up for so long suddenly burst."Brad, why on earth do you treat me like this?! We're married, yet since the wedding, you have been cold to me, without half a shred of sincerity!"She stared fixedly at Brad, every single word carrying bitterness."If you didn't like me, why did you insist on marrying me back then? Why did you give up on Amy and choose me, only to turn around and torture me like this?"Brad froze slightly. Looking at the distraught Ellie, his Adam's apple bobbed twi

Various cooperative projects were running into problems one after another, presenting endless trouble.Brad could only spend his days holed up in the company office, overwhelmed with work. The atmosphere in the office was heavy and stifling. Peter stood to one side, looking at Brad's frustrated face, and spoke in a low voice."Don, there are so many thorny projects recently. If Ms. Amy were here, it would be great."The movement of Brad's hands flipping through the documents suddenly stopped, and he fell into silence.Dust-laden memories rushed to the surface all at once.Thinking about it carefully, the Henderson family's ability to stand out against competition in the previous life and secure its position as the top

After returning to Napoles, Ellie felt a surge of relief. She thought that since Brad had seen with his own eyes that I had married someone else, he would finally give up.From now on, Brad's heart would only hold her alone, and she would be the donna of the Henderson family. However, she quickly discovered that matters were not at all like what she thought. One day, Ellie passed by the garden and heard Brad giving instructions to the butler."The lilies in the garden are a bit withered. Replant a batch of the freshest ones."The butler complied. Brad then added another sentence, his tone carrying a gentleness that he himself had not even noticed."They must be white. Amy likes white lilies the most."Ellie, in the distance, stamped her feet hard against the ground in anger, but in the end, she did not erupt. She comforted herself with the thought that Brad had not let go for the time being, and that once more days had passed, he would understand who was truly by his side.No

Henry lifted his hand and gently patted the back of my hand. Then, he walked straight to the front of Brad, his gaze staring directly at him without a single shred of backing down. The entire venue fell into dead silence. Everyone stared at the scene of the two major mafia dons confronting each other once again.Henry's expression was solemn, his tone carrying a hardness that brooked no defiance."Brad, as you can see, Amy chose me willingly. I advise you not to even think about ruining our wedding."His gaze was ice-cold, carrying the unique deterrence of a Sicilana don."If you insist on causing trouble, don't blame me for being impolite. This is Sicilana, not your Napoles where you can act willfully!"With that, Henry raised his hand to signal the bodyguards behind him to step forward."Please escort Don Henderson and his newlywed wife out of here."A crowd of bodyguards surrounded them in a uniform line, adopting a defensive posture and forcing Brad to step back.Brad's fa

As Brad's words fell, dozens of bodyguards in black flooded into the hall. The guests fell back one after another, and the air instantly grew tense.Henry took a step forward, shielding me behind him."Brad, this is Sicilana, not your Napoles.""Give Amy to me." Brad looked at him coldly, his tone hard and stiff. Henry simply laughed. "On what grounds?"Brad's voice was ice-cold, pronouncing each word with deliberate emphasis."On the grounds that she was originally my fiancée. I do not acknowledge this wedding."The smile on Henry's face vanished completely."Whether you acknowledge it or not, does it matter?"The priest acknowledges it, the law acknowledges it, and the entirety of Iacon acknowledges it. As of just now, Amy is my wife."Brad's expression turned extremely unpleasant."She is acting on impulse. Once she calms down, she will leave with me."I finally spoke up calmly, "Brad, I won't leave with you. I'm married now."Brad's expression changed."Amy, stop mak
