CHAPTER ONE:

Eva’s Pov

“It was supposed to be one of the happiest days of her my life”

Eva it's really late, where are you going?" My dad catches me downstairs, holding onto the door knob.

"Dad,Marcus and I will be celebrating our 3rd anniversary tomorrow,and he hasn't texted me or even called me. That's why I'm a little bit worried. He told me that there's some issues in their family business .." I sighed. "i just want to be by his side to comfort him, he's been drained because of his family,I also 

Baked his favourite cake to cheer him up a little bit."

Well the past two years of our relationship have been nothing short of amazing so i think of surprising him.

He smiled, understanding every word that came out of my mouth. "How sweet of you darling, but it's really late to go alone so I'll lend you my car."

"Really?!" I beamed and kissed him  on the cheeks. "Thanks dad you are the best!"

He was all smiles before I left home. “I drove off with my heart fluttering, excitement painting my cheeks pink, since I'm gonna spend the night with him. I've always liked spending every minute with him. That's why even though we've been together for so long, I still like spending time with him.

I glanced at the sweet chocolate cake I baked "dammn!! am too excited,

As I arrived no one was at home so I breathed out in relief because I would not want to bump into anyone or answering unnecessary questions all I wanted was to spend time with Marcus so I decided to take the short route to his room still surprised to see the lights to his room on that means his still awake the door was wide open thankfully,

  On getting closer I heard strange sounds more like a moaning sound 

"Ugh! Y-Yes!”  faster! Marcus 

Tell me between, I and Eva who do you love,

Oh baby girl I choose you over again over that girl 

My eyes widened. W-What was that?

No.

My grip on the doorknob tightened and I refused to go in for a minute, hearing the noises that were coming out from his room, my vision blurred. When I opened the door, I couldn't believe what I saw.

The pain was so overwhelming that my knees started to wobble I didn't know when tears started falling none stop from my eyes I couldn't understand anything but all I know was that this was betrayal 

I decided to take a closer look to find out who the person was 

    

"M-My.." i stuttered, my sobs growing harder every second. "Boyfriend and my.." I pointed at her. "Best friend, the one person I love most, all that could go through my head was why ! Why ! Why would they choose to do this to me where have I failed in life 

  

Eva”_ Marcus called out to me 

DON'T YOU DARE!! I screamed I glared at him with tears in my eyes HOW CAN YOU BOTH DO THIS TO ME MARCUS?!

He gets up and tries to come close but I pushed him away quickly, slapping him hard in the face. "Happy 3rd anniversary Marcus." I smiled at him bitterly. Opening the box and smashing the cake right in his face, throwing away the box angrily.

I took one last glance at my best friend who didn't even want to look at me. Quickly getting in the car, I started up the engine

I cried,as I drove slowly back home. How am I going to face my father after what happened? Cassie and I have been best friends since I can remember and have always loved her no less. My voice echoed throughout the streets,feeling that I couldn't take it anymore. I pulled over and cried my eyes out, I tried stopping it but I couldn't. My heart hurts like hell!

I gripped the steering wheel hard and banged my head into it. "WHY! AND HOW THE FUCK CAN THEY DO THIS TO ME 

If they weren't so important to me.. i could never cry like this in my entire life

    “All of a sudden I lost control of the steering as tears blurred my eyes,I nearly ran into a coming vehicle 

    The car slammed into a tree 

     “I knew I couldn't drive home in this condition”so I decided to call jay for help,

I was beginning to lose consciousness due to the impact from the car. 

      Ring—ring— he picked on the first  ring, I knew he must be asleep already ,but I didn't have a choice. Before I could disclose further information I lost consciousness.

      “Before that I think I saw a blurry tall masculine figure,but I couldn't make out the face before passing out.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

Eva heard the beeping sounds in her head.

She slowly opened her eyes and closed them immediately from the bright light above her, then, slowly, she opened her eyes again and was faced with a white ceiling.

she tried moving her arms, she realized she had something sticking into her left arm ,eva managed to slowly lift herself

She realized that she was lying inside a hospital ward in a white hospital gown.

“Oh, please,lie down. You just woke up,a young lady in a nurse's uniform opened the door and rushed towards Eva's bed

“Are you okay?Do you feel any kind of discomfort anywhere,she asked as she removed the thermometer from her armpit 

"No, I'm okay," Eva sighed.

"Ok, here are your medications," The nurse dropped a bag of medications on top of the drawer.

"Thank you," Eva replied.

"Mm," The nurse replied with a nod.

"Um, can I know how long I have been here?" Eva  asked.

"Just a day," The nurse said without raising her head from the patient's file

"Oh..." She said quietly.

She knows if she stayed here for a month her step mother won't bother,aside from her father.

The nurse took a step toward the door, then suddenly stopped.

Her hand lingered on the handle, as if she had remembered something important.

and Eva felt her heart skip.
