CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Eva’s POV

“What took you so long?” I was surprised when I suddenly saw Massimo standing by the door.

“W-What are you doing here?” I asked him.

He looked at me with cold eyes. “Did you go somewhere else?”

“S-Sorry, I-I just talked to a friend for a while.”

“it seems you have made it a habit to always defy my orders right?

I bit my lower lip. “S-Sorry…”

“Eva ,just because am being too kind doesn't mean you can do whatever you want,you’re not here just to live a life of a princess. I didn’t marry you just so you could live the way you want and disobey my orders.”

“I-I’m sorry. That would never happen again.”

It better not because if it does be ready to quit that practice of yours and forget ever going to study again and you will stay in the mansion forever”

“W-What? N-No, please don’t do that Massimo

He walked towards me. “freshen up and come to my room.”

“H-Huh?”

“Don’t worry, I won’t do anything shady.” He said before he started walking away from me.

Why do I have to go to his room he always has one thing or the other up his sleeves?

And as Massimo has told me, I washed my body and wore my pajamas. I intentionally wore the one that fully covers my body since I know if he sees me wearing something that’s showy, he would think something awful again.

Do I really have to go to his room?

What if he decides to do something horrible to me?

But he also said that he wouldn’t do something shady. Should I trust him?

I heaved a sigh. “Oh well, as if I have a choice. This mansion is Massimo’s property, and since the day that I married him, I became his property too.”

I just knocked once at his door and he already opened it. He was wearing a black pair of pajamas. There was a black towel on his head, so I guess he just took a bath. “Come in,” he said.

“O-Okay…”

Massimo closed his door as soon as I was able to step inside. I looked around his room and realized that it was as huge as mine, although there were lots of doors on every corner. I wonder what those doors are for.

His room was painted white and black. All the pieces of furniture and paintings on the wall were symmetrically designed, making it look like the perfect rooms you would always see in magazines and televisions

“Are you going to keep standing there or have a seat?

“Can I know why you asked me to come here”i asked him?

“To play card .” He nonchalantly replied as he walked towards a huge, grey-stained oak cabinet and took out a big wad of cards

“P-Play? You mean, we’re going to play cards ?”

He looked at me and sat down on the couch across from mine. “That’s right, we’ll play card. Do you know how to do it?”

“I-I used to play it when I was a kid, but I don’t think I’m still good at it.”

“ Too bad for you”

You really want to play cards with me ,if you wanted to play you could have gone to the casinos or called your friends over to do that.

“ You are right Massimo dleaned on the couch and crossed his arm while looking at me.but we are not playing any kind of cards.

“W-What do you mean?”

“We’ll play cards just like how people usually play them, the only difference is that, we’ll have a punishment to the loser.”

I wrinkled my brows. “Punishment?”

“Every time you lose, a part of your body will be mine.”

My eyes automatically widened at what he just said. “What?!”

“I will choose a part of your body and I can do whatever I want with it and you are not allowed to complain.” He repeated.

“What do you take me for huh!..Do I look like a piece map that you want to conquer as you please?!”

“Eva I can only give you two options tonight either you play cards with me or force you to have sex with Me tonight,the choice is yours baby girl?he raised an eyebrow.

What kind of condition is this?how can you casually say such things without even minding.

“All I need to do is to defeat you, right?”

“Uh-huh.”

“What if I-I win?”

“Then you can ask me anything.”

“A-Anything? As in anything?”

He nodded. “Right, you can ask me

anything except a divorce.”

Ah, he knows what exactly I want to ask him.

It's not as if am left with any other choice at least playing cards with him will keep his mind distracted. “Deal.”

A huge smile appeared on his face, and that immediately brought shivers through my whole body. “Alright then, let’s start now.”

“Okay.”

He spread the cards at the center table and we both started arranging our pieces. I just hope he didn’t master this game because if he did, then I’m really dead. Oh well, how can he even have time to play games when he’s always busy with his business and duties being a mafia boss.
