Chapter 104

Rick was running towards his mother’s house. He was in time to see the vehicle driving away. Worried he rushed inside finding her sitting beside the table just looking at her hands. He quickly kneels beside her. “Mom, are you okay?” he asked urgently.

“I am fine son.” She reaches out to brush over his hair. “You need a haircut.” She said softly.

“I know, mom, but something happened?” he stood up now sitting close to her. He took out his phone and show her the message. The moment she read the words she handed him the phone back.

“Do you know what this mean mom?” he searched her face and only see love in her eyes. He then watches her reach for a briefcase. She carefully placed it in front of him. “This is for you too, my son.”

“What is it?”

“It’s for your new future.”
