MasukSienna’s POV
We stopped a taxi. On the way, Noah leaned against my shoulder, his eyes nearly closed. I gently rubbed his back, letting him rest a bit in the middle of the noisy, congested streets.Behind the glass, the city continued as usual, people rushing, horns honking, street vendors shouting their wares. And in this taxi, I sat with the most precious part of my life, the reason I held on even though the world seemed to want to tear me apart time and time again.INoah's POV The days finally started to feel normal again. Or at least close to normal. I went back to college like usual. No more training until midnight, no more sneaking out of the hospital, no more huge fights with Mommy every single day. Everything slowly became calmer. That morning, I had just finished showering and walked downstairs while drying my hair with the small towel hanging over my shoulder. The moment I reached the first floor, the smell of food immediately greeted me. I already knew. Mommy must’ve woken up early again. I stepped into the dining room, and sure enough, the table was already full of food. Eggs, warm soup, bread, fruit, even juice that was obviously homemade. Mommy, who was pouring milk, immediately turned when she saw me. “Noah!” Her face instantly brightened. “Come eat breakfast.” I chuckled softly. “Morning, Mom.” Dad
Emily's POV Rachel did not know what it felt like to always be compared. She did not know what it felt like to always lose. Yet the words stayed trapped in my throat. There was no way I could say everything now, especially not in front of Rachel. Robert finally walked closer until he was standing right in front of me. His cold gaze never left my face. “I don’t care about whatever personal issues you people had in the past,” he said coldly. “But don’t drag Rachel into it.” My body immediately tensed. Our eyes met for a few seconds, and I knew. He was starting to realize there was something much bigger behind all of this. I quickly looked away and let out a faint laugh. “You’re all overreacting.” “Really?” Robert’s voice was low now. Dangerous. “Because from what I can see, you’re the one getting overly emotional every time Noah’s name is mentioned.”
Emily's POV That morning was supposed to be peaceful.I was doing pilates in my favorite private studio, a spacious room with huge glass walls overlooking the small garden in the center of the house. Sunlight streamed in softly, the sound of a small fountain felt calming, and the scent of lavender filled the air.Slowly, I controlled my breathing while holding my position on the mat. The pilates instructor who came every week kept giving gentle instructions, but my mind wasn’t focused at all this morning.Too many things were running through my head.Rachel.Noah.The match from last night that had been all over social media since early morning.I honestly hadn’t intended to look at any of it. Yet even when I opened my phone just to reply to work emails, videos of Noah winning in the ring still appeared everywhere.People were talking about him.Praising his courage.Repeating his name over and over again. What irritated m
Sienna's POV The next evening, we finally really went out to eat together.I chose a warm, cozy restaurant filled with soft golden lights that made the atmosphere feel calm. Noah sat across from me while Liam stayed beside me. Somehow just seeing Noah sitting there was enough to make my heart feel peaceful. It still didn’t feel real.A few days ago, I was terrified of losing him.Now Noah was here, having dinner with us while occasionally laughing softly at Liam’s jokes.I had been watching him the entire time. The way Noah ate so enthusiastically. The way he had started talking more again. The way he occasionally complained whenever I kept adding more food onto his plate.“Mommy, enough.”“Noah, finish your vegetables.”“I already ate a lot.”“Still not enough.”Noah immediately let out a long sigh with a helpless expression that made Liam chuckle.
Sienna's POV I still couldn’t stop smiling after Noah’s match ended. It felt like a huge weight had finally been lifted off my chest. Watching Noah stand in that ring, fighting until the very end, then winning honestly, I still could barely believe it. My son had really grown up. Maybe all this time, I’d been so busy being afraid that I forgot to see that. I stood beside Noah, occasionally fixing his slightly messy hair damp from sweat. The bouquet was still in his hands while Liam stayed busy checking the photos he had taken earlier. “Oh, this one’s good,” I said while looking at his phone screen. “You can totally see Noah smiling.” “Mommy.” Noah complained immediately, embarrassed. I laughed softly. “What? You look handsome.” Noah let out a helpless sigh right away. Honestly It had been so long since I’d seen that expression on him. A relaxed expression. One that wasn’t
Noah's POV I looked up toward the stands.Mommy was. Laughing at the same time hugging Daddy tightly before waving that giant banner again like the proudest person in the world.Nearby Rachel was still standing there watching me.This time her gaze wasn’t cold. Instead it held something softer.I let out a breath. Then without realizing it I smiled a little.Everything I went through finally felt worth it.Once the match ended and the atmosphere calmed down a little I finally climbed down from the ring with my body feeling weak.My breathing still hadn’t fully returned to normal sweat soaking my face and neck yet somehow my chest felt light.Really light. After a few steps down Mommy ran toward me first.“Noah!"The second she wrapped me in a tight hug.I stumbled slightly becaus
Noah's POV I immediately sped up my eating when Mommy started smiling with that overly meaningful look in her eyes. The only safe option was to escape.“I’m done,” I said quickly as I stood up. “I’m going to work on my college assignment.”“So diligent,” Mommy commented in a tone
Sienna’s POVThe clock on the wall said it was nine at night.I was still in the kitchen wearing my apron staring at the dinner table. I had set it over an hour ago. There was soup Noah's favorite vegetables and roasted chicken that I made.Everything was
Noah's POV The food showed up. It looked really great on the plate.Rachel said it looked nice. Steven started explaining what the restaurant is about. I was focused on cutting my steakThere was a rhythm to their conversation. They exchanged knowing glances. They made joke
Noah's POV I stared at the dark ceiling, lit only by the desk lamp I hadn’t turned off. The shadow of the fan rotated slowly above, like my thoughts replaying the same scenes over and over.Steven said he would step back slowly. Why did that sentence sound like a challenge instead?
