Sienna's POV

It was a quiet morning. The only sounds heard were the chirping of birds outside the window and the gentle breeze that passed through the curtains with half its length. Standing near the sink, I gazed at my reflection in the kitchen mirror that had a slight fog. Although I experienced slight puffiness under my eyes, the morning was relatively lighter.

Footage echoed out of the living room. As I turned, I observed Liam entering the kitchen wearing a gray t-shirt and casual pants, with his hair bunted up. His hand held a slice of toast. "Morning," his voice beats with sound, as though he was sleeping heavily.

I smiled softly. “Morning. You're up earlier than usual."

Sienna's POV I slowly gazed upwards, pondering on pertinent matters. He didn't answer right away. Just a brief moment, he looked at me and then said, "I feel my gratitude that you are still here with our son." The room became quiet, but not the cold or awkward state. I was so disturbed by the silence that I wanted to remain silent, just to let his words drift in the air.Noah was unsure about the significance of the conversation and so put his hands on the table with a smile. "Daddy, look! I finished my milk!" Liam smiled and raised the glass. "That's really impressive," he declared. “You can count on Daddy to give you an extra slice of bread for tomorrow.”"Noah has a strong fondness for bread," he stated, holding his hands together with joy. Then I laughed as much, and when my gaze met Liam again the words just popped, “I loved you, there was nothing but a small smile.”My thoughts had been occupied with the question I wanted to ask since l

Sienna's POV The door was approached slowly with ease. Coolness was present outside the house during the night, with the scent of flowers emanating from the small garden in front. I gazed at the sky and then glanced back at Liam, whose face was softly illuminated by the porch light.Despite the heat that persisted throughout the night, I still felt Mrs. Wilson. The hugs from Wilson are still on my mind."Thanks for joining me, sweetheart," she whispered. "I couldn't be happier with you tonight." I stayed silent by nodding, anxious that my voice would become shaken if I spoke.A combination of gratitude and emotion pressed into my chest at the same time. We finally managed to talk it out without the weight of history weighing down our conversation.I felt like there was no noise coming from inside the car. Noah slept on his back, resting his head on a small pillow. The engine's gentle hum and the blurry, flickering windshield of streetlights made the

Sienna's POV Mrs. Wilson, “Now in charge of spoiling Noah for you.”Her reply was as Mrs. Wilson looked at her grandson with a soft and loving gaze."Grandma, I'll never want to be spoiled," Noah quipped. Tomorrow I will be there for Mommy!" I smiled warmly. “Oh yeah? Sweetheart, how will you assist Mommy? Please answer.”“Bake cakes!” Excitedly, he exclaimed, "This is the same spoon I gave to my Grandmother today!" He continued waving his spoon.Everyone laughed. "That's a great idea," Mrs. Wilson nodded in agreement. “If you come back next time, we will be cooking together.”Noah exclaimed, "Yeah, good," while clapping his hands. "Daddy has to come in and assist me." Then proceed further, adding, "Okay, that's okay!" Liam displayed a serious attitude. "Daddy might have to taste the outcome?" Noah quickly responded with a "no" and an angry expression. "Daddy has to stir! Otherwise, the bread will burn!" Our laughter burst out again

Sienna's POV I was shocked, hearing Mrs. Wilson's words were so true and full of feeling that they made the whole room silent.Liam, who had been quiet all this while finally spoke his voice soft but firm. “It’s my fault too, Mom. I know I wasn’t the sort of husband she deserved back then. I was too occupied ignoring truth, ignoring feelings I should’ve let myself to have.”I looked at him. His stare was deep, so true that it made my breath stop."But now," he went on, "I don’t want to make the same error again. I want to fix things right not from guilt but because I really wish to."He gazed right at me, and his tone got gentler. “I wish to understand how to care for you, Sienna. Truly. Not by push, not with the load of the past. I want us to make something nicer than what we had at home, together with Noah, and with all the things we never had time to feel.”I stopped. His words cut through the walls I had made for a long time to k

Sienna’s POV Noah's words made me burst into sheer happiness. With ease, Noah could fill the air between us and make our home feel like a new place in heaven. For a moment, Mrs. Wilson looked at me like I was saying something.I could see her gratitude through her gentle smile. The fact that this small family finally found themselves at the same dining table after years of being apart is a wonderful sight to behold. We sat together. At the far end of the table, there was Liam, Noah and myself facing Mrs. Wilson. At first, it felt like a complete family, something that had never happened to me for ages.As she poured soup into my bowl, Mrs. Wilson said, "Sienna, I heard you're back to writing. What happened?”"I looked at her with some astonishment, and she said yes," I could. “I've just completed a manuscript for securing prestigious writing competitions.”"I'm glad to hear that," she exclaimed softly. "Liam, I heard you." Your writing abilitie
