Sienna's POV

We were still walking side by side, our steps slow as we made our way along the shoreline, now gradually crowded with visitors. Some children laughed joyfully, sand flying as they ran, and the sound of the waves became a peaceful backdrop—yet it also made my chest tight, weighed down by too many unspoken things.

Liam walked beside me in silence for a moment, then asked, “So… why are you here, Sienna?”

His pace slowed as his eyes caught sight of my tote bag, a corner

Liam's POV Sienna laughed and shook her head. "I think I will get sick first."We both burst out laughing. But behind my laugh there was much more.I wished. I wished so much that this night would be enough.I wished that the flowers I had given her this morning and tonight would be enough to regain her trust in me. I hope that this dinner will be enough to forget all the fights we had before.I hope that memories of this place will help Sienna realize that I am the one who loved her for decades and not some man who had betrayed her.I watched her face. There was sincerity in her eyes and that was precisely what increased my burden of guilt.I still remembered that day when I had never wanted anything like this to happen.I found myself in a position which I couldn’t explain to Sienna without worsening everything. There was no way that I could lose her. There was no way that after the last six years of struggling with the same

Liam's POV The meal came to its end.I observed Sienna placing the fork on the plate. Her expression seemed much calmer than it had been during the previous few days.Seeing Sienna smile made me feel much better. I was able to make her smile.I sent a discreet signal to the waiter. Soon enough, another waiter approached us bringing a beautifully decorated cake.“I don’t understand,” said Sienna, immediately frowning. “What is all this?”“A surprise,” I answered with a smile.“A surprise?”“Yes, I just wanted to give you something you like.”Sienna looked at the cake from me. “Liam.”She laughed. “It’s a bit too much, isn’t it?”“Why?”“We’re already approaching fifty. You are still preparing surprises as if we were teenagers.”I looked at her smiling face. For some unknown reason, I felt like the tension I had been feeling inside my chest for some time was fading away seeing Sienna laughing.“It’s too much?” I asked.Sie

Sienna's POV I held Liam's hand a little tighter."Then don’t let me wish I gave you one more try."Liam nodded. “I promise.”I grinned. Before I could say more, Liam grabbed the bunch of roses I had put near me and brought it nearer.“Besides, I have a͏nother way to make you smile.”I tilted my head. “What way?”Liam grinned big. “I will give you a flower every day”I immediately stared at him.“Every day?”“Yes.”He smiled. “If necessary, twice a day.”I let out a small laugh. “Don’t overdo it.”“Why not?”I moved my head. “It brings back memories of when we were kids.”Liam grinned. "What is bad about recalling our old days?"I stared at him. “Cause that was 20 years back”I raised an eyebrow. “We’re almost fifty, Liam.”“So don’t overdo it.

Sienna's POV I entered the restaurant slowly. The fancy eatery Liam picked tonight seemed very nice. Little lights dangled from the roof, making a cozy and close feeling. On one side of the room was a little stage where an orchestra show would happen that night.I stopped for a bit by the door. A server came up to me with a nice grin.“Good evening, ma’am. Do you have a reservation?”I nodded.“Under the name Sienna.”The server looked at the booking list on his device. “Okay, Mrs Sienna. Come with me.”I went after him through a few tables. We halted at a table not far from the band stage,I smiled. “It’s a beautiful spot.”“Thank you, ma’am.”The server took out a seat for me. I sat down and a little later he gave me a menu.“Here is the menu, ma’am.”I accepted it. “Thank you.”“Would you like to

Sienna's POV The little girl next to him joined in as well.“We will never be alone because we will have friends!”“You are absolutely right.”All of a sudden, one of the caretakers switched on some music. All the kids got cheerful and began to sing. Some of them even stood up and started to dance. And I also started to clap along while other kids went outside to play with the caretakers in the yard. Some were playing soccer games. Some were running after soap bubbles and some were drawing under the trees.I stood by the window and looked at them. I could not help smiling as I saw those cheerful scenes. This place was just an old building surrounded by tall grass until now. But now it was full of life.I put my hand to my heart and felt warmth flowing through my body.“Noah.”I whispered his name gently.“I am sure that you will smile, too, sweetheart, if you could see this.”I smiled to myself and turned my thoughts to Liam.

Sienna's POV That day felt somehow unusual. After all, I could not forget our talk in the morning, when he explained to me the misunderstandings, told me about his trust in me and how grateful he was for the new chance he got.It might not be perfect. But at least we tried, and that was all I needed to start from scratch."Sienna, would you like to read a story today?"I looked back. One of the caretakers stood before me with a couple of illustrated storybooks in her hands.I smiled. "Sure."Then it took place on the big carpet in the playroom. No sooner did the kids see the books, they rushed to me."Mom Sienna!""I want to take a seat in front!""I do, too!"I chuckled. "Slow down, please don't push each other."Several kids took places in a circle right away. I opened the chosen illustrated book."All right, let's read today about a little rabbit looking for his home."The kids went silent right away. Their eyes were focused on
