FAZER LOGINSienna's POV
The car finally pulled into the driveway of our house.I opened my eyes slowly as the sound of the engine faded. I had no idea how long ago I fell asleep and it seems like the drive home had taken less time than expected because I was truly tired from that day.I turned my head sideways. Liam seemed to be watching the road ahead of him.We parked right in front of the house. A few seconds later, Liam switched off the engine."We're home."I nodded. "Yeah.Sienna's POV Liam entered the bathroom once again, leaving me alone in the living room. I looked at the bouquet of roses that I put on the table just minutes ago.I touched the petal with my fingertips. The evening seemed different but not unpleasant in any way. It was quite the contrary. Liam was the old Liam, the one who paid attention to all those little details that only I seemed to notice, who was aware of the fact that I did not appreciate overly sweet food, and who always knew when I was tired, even when I did not say anything. This time, he even remembered that cake which was my favorite. I took a deep breath. Maybe I have been thinking too much lately. It was about time to stop worrying about what happened and start focusing on what Liam did right now. He was really trying, and I could see this from everything he had been doing lately – starting from the flowers he brought me in the morning, ending with the way he held my hand. Now, he had even pre
Sienna's POV The car finally pulled into the driveway of our house.I opened my eyes slowly as the sound of the engine faded. "Yeah."I was about to open the door by myself, but Liam was already out of the car. In a second, the door on my side was opened.Liam was standing there with an open hand extended towards me."Be careful."I looked at his hand for a few seconds before I took it. "I can get out by myself.""I know."Liam gave me a slight smile. "But I would like to help you."I didn't say anything. I just let him hold my hand as I got out of the car. And once again, his answer was the
Liam's POV Sienna laughed and shook her head. "I think I will get sick first."We both burst out laughing. But behind my laugh there was much more.I wished. I wished so much that this night would be enough.I wished that the flowers I had given her this morning and tonight would be enough to regain her trust in me. I hope that this dinner will be enough to forget all the fights we had before.I hope that memories of this place will help Sienna realize that I am the one who loved her for decades and not some man who had betrayed her.I watched her face. There was sincerity in her eyes and that was precisely what increased my burden of guilt.I still remembered that day when I had never wanted anything like this to happen.I found myself in a position which I couldn’t explain to Sienna without worsening everything. There was no way that I could lose her. There was no way that after the last six years of struggling with the same
Liam's POV The meal came to its end.I observed Sienna placing the fork on the plate. Her expression seemed much calmer than it had been during the previous few days.Seeing Sienna smile made me feel much better. I was able to make her smile.I sent a discreet signal to the waiter. Soon enough, another waiter approached us bringing a beautifully decorated cake.“I don’t understand,” said Sienna, immediately frowning. “What is all this?”“A surprise,” I answered with a smile.“A surprise?”“Yes, I just wanted to give you something you like.”Sienna looked at the cake from me. “Liam.”She laughed. “It’s a bit too much, isn’t it?”“Why?”“We’re already approaching fifty. You are still preparing surprises as if we were teenagers.”I looked at her smiling face. For some unknown reason, I felt like the tension I had been feeling inside my chest for some time was fading away seeing Sienna laughing.“It’s too much?” I asked.Sie
Sienna's POV I held Liam's hand a little tighter."Then don’t let me wish I gave you one more try."Liam nodded. “I promise.”I grinned. Before I could say more, Liam grabbed the bunch of roses I had put near me and brought it nearer.“Besides, I have a͏nother way to make you smile.”I tilted my head. “What way?”Liam grinned big. “I will give you a flower every day”I immediately stared at him.“Every day?”“Yes.”He smiled. “If necessary, twice a day.”I let out a small laugh. “Don’t overdo it.”“Why not?”I moved my head. “It brings back memories of when we were kids.”Liam grinned. "What is bad about recalling our old days?"I stared at him. “Cause that was 20 years back”I raised an eyebrow. “We’re almost fifty, Liam.”“So don’t overdo it.
Sienna's POV I entered the restaurant slowly. The fancy eatery Liam picked tonight seemed very nice. Little lights dangled from the roof, making a cozy and close feeling. On one side of the room was a little stage where an orchestra show would happen that night.I stopped for a bit by the door. A server came up to me with a nice grin.“Good evening, ma’am. Do you have a reservation?”I nodded.“Under the name Sienna.”The server looked at the booking list on his device. “Okay, Mrs Sienna. Come with me.”I went after him through a few tables. We halted at a table not far from the band stage,I smiled. “It’s a beautiful spot.”“Thank you, ma’am.”The server took out a seat for me. I sat down and a little later he gave me a menu.“Here is the menu, ma’am.”I accepted it. “Thank you.”“Would you like to
Sienna’s POV I moved to the tiny kitchen, pulled out a clean glass, and filled it with water. My motions were stiff, mechanical, like a machine. I drank half of it down, hoping the cold liquid would extinguish the fire raging in me, but it only left a bitter taste on my tongue. The wave
Sienna's POV I open my eyes. No. This isn’t the time to drown in the past. I came here to rebuild my life, not to get tangled in an old story that may never be fixed. But I also can’t lie to myself. There’s something different about him. Whether it’s only my imagination or a real ch
Sienna's POV My eyes were still heavy, the lids glued shut as if with wood glue. My head felt stuffed with cotton, maybe because I had stayed up too late the night before. But the sound of the doorbell kept ringing once, twice, three times—with patient, consistent persistence. I groaned soft
Liam's POV Streetlights lined up like man-made stars that never dimmed, illuminating the path I followed out of the parking lot. The hum of the car engine blended with the rush of the night wind, creating a silence that only amplified the echo of my thoughts. My hands were still gripping the
