Aria’s POV

I kept my eyes on the distant, barely blinking as I rubbed my palm over my stomach.

A few more months and they would be here. I should’ve been excited, or at least ready. But I wasn’t. Something inside me felt stuck, like my mind couldn’t move forward because it kept circling around one person.

Kaelen…

A warm hand landed gently on my shoulder.

“You’ve been staring out at this field for days now,” he said quietly.

“I’m sorry,” I breathed out. “I just… I have a lot on my mind. Especially with all the danger happening lately.”

“I understand,” he replied. His voice had that steady calmness he always used when he wanted me to feel safe.

“Especially because they want to take you. You’re the Aristea. But I promise you, I will protect you.”

I turned to look at Aiden—and suddenly memories came crashing in.

Everything we had gone through. The arguments. The nights I cried because of him. The moments when I felt like he was slipping away from me, controlled by someone else, choosing s

Aria’s POV“Take her.”They suddenly rushed toward me. Before I could even react, rough hands grabbed both of my arms, holding me tightly on each side.I did not fight back. I did not even move. I just stared ahead, blank and empty, as if my body was there but my mind was far away. They dragged me forward, and I did not know where they were taking me. Everything felt distant, unreal. My ears rang, like a high-pitched sound was stuck inside my head and refused to leave. It drowned out everything else. I swallowed hard, still staring into nothing. Then, without warning, something shifted inside me.My wolf reacted.Zaira stirred, suddenly alert. She sensed something—something familiar.A scent.I blinked several times, forcing my eyes to focus. I looked around, searching desperately, my heart pounding faster. But before I could understand what it meant, we were already outside. They stopped me in the middle of the open grounds. The entire Iron Howl Kingdom surrounded me. People stood ev

Aria’s POVLennox turned his back on me.He walked away as if I was nothing. The guards straightened from their posts and blocked the entrance, their faces firm and unmoved. It was clear they had already decided. No matter what I said or did, they would not let me inside.“Lennox, please!” I begged. My voice sounded small even to my own ears.I reached out toward him, but the guards shoved me back again. One of them spoke in a cold and controlled voice.“You are forbidden to go inside,” he said. “Follow our ground rules. Even if you once belonged here.”My chest tightened. Tears started to gather in my eyes, blurring my vision. Lennox hadn’t gone far yet, so I forced myself to shout.“Lennox! I know you’re just hiding Kaelen from me!” I shouted. “Please! That’s why I came back! I want to see him! I want to talk to him!”My voice cracked, but I didn’t stop.“I want to fix what I broke between us! I know I made mistakes! I know I was foolish! But please, at least listen to me! Lennox, p

Aria’s POV“We will not allow it!” they declared, each of them standing firm.“You are supposed to protect, Aristea!” they said. “You are supposed to preserve your name. You are the one who formed every pact before. Do not forget your role!”“I’m only starting to understand who I really am… what my bloodline even means. But what you’re doing—this isn’t guidance. This is manipulation!”Their expression didn’t change, but I could tell my words struck something in the council.“You all just want to use me!” I continued. “You want to turn me into some kind of weapon for your goals. And if you think I’ll stand by while you kill Aiden and the rest of Crescent Moon, then you’re wrong. If you go after them… you’ll be fighting me!”They didn’t expect that. I saw it in their eyes—the flicker of hesitation. Maybe even fear.My voice had changed. It came out deeper, heavier, the Aristea was pushing its way to the surface.“This is not the end,” they warned. “You will not like what the council can

Aria’s POV“What?!” Aiden’s voice echoed through the entire hall, sharp, almost shaking the air around us.Before I could even process what was happening, guards rushed in from every direction. In seconds, we were surrounded. Cold spears were pointed at us, the tips so close that I instinctively stepped back.My heart started pounding. He held out an arm to keep me behind him. “Stay here,” he said firmly.I shouldn’t have come here in the first place. I knew this was dangerous. But now that we were cornered by guards and all eyes were on us, it felt like I had walked straight into a mistake that could explode into something bigger than we expected.Up on the throne, the representatives slowly stood up. Their robes swayed as they descended the steps, each movement heavy with authority. The air shifted around the room. The atmosphere grew tense. And then, suddenly, chaos erupted among the alphas standing on both sides of the hall.“This isn’t fair!” one of the alphas shouted. His voice

  • Forsaken With His Pup   Chapter 82: Claimed by the Council

Aria’s POV“No! Aria, don’t go with them!”Aiden’s voice cracked as he reached for me, his eyes wide with fear. His hands shook, and for a moment I saw the panic he usually kept hidden.“You don’t have to go. Please… I can’t let them take you.”The council stood there like they owned the air we were breathing. Their expressions were cold, unreadable, and it felt like they were judging every move we made. Before I could step closer to Aiden, immense wolf guards suddenly moved in. They grabbed him by the arms, forcing him away from me.“No!” I screamed. The sound tore out of me before I could stop it.“Please—don’t hurt him! You don’t understand what we’ve been through. Please, just let him go!”The leader squinted at me. The rest of the council didn’t even bother to care. Their silence made everything worse.“Let go of me!” Aiden shouted as the warriors who had come with us panicked, but they fell silent when spears were pointed at them.“Please…I’ll come with you! Just release him!”“
