Abby's POV

Before I knew it, the woman threw her arms around me in a hug.

“It was at your wedding that I last saw you. I’m Chloe, Luna of Nightclaw Moon Pack,” she said.

Oh. That explains it. Either one of Hayden’s friends or business partners.

“Mrs. Smith. Long time,” Alex said with a slight bow before releasing me and stepping away.

Goddess, why would he leave me here alone with….

“Honey,” the woman called, looking over her shoulder at a middle-aged man, an Alpha, clearly her husband.

The man turned to us and smiled the moment he saw me. “Mrs. Roche. It's good to see you.” He walked over and slid an arm around his wife's waist, the perfect couple pose.

“I'm glad Alpha Hayden brought you. You look stunning," the man added.

“T-Thanks, Alpha…”

“Nicholas,” he said, finishing for me.

“Yeah, Alpha Nicholas. Thank you,” I replied.

Honestly, I don’t even remember them from the wedding. I can’t recall a single face except the ones from my father’s pack. I was too clouded by my own misery.

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    A Three-Degree Turnaround

Abby's POV His steps faltered. But he quickly composed himself and masked his expression. I know he didn’t expect to see me like this in Hayden’s arms, not after knowing how the situation between me and Hayden was as at the time that we spoke at the rooftop the previous day.Hayden didn’t slow. Didn’t even glance at him. He only tightened his arms around me and pressed a kiss on my lips.Derek’s jaw clenched. He pressed his lips into a thin line before looking away and walking out of the lobby. My heart was suddenly racing for reasons I couldn’t explain. When we got to the car, Hayden finally placed me down. Alex and Lucious were already waiting.Hayden looked at me without saying anything but I knew what that look meant. Was I going to ride with him now or keep choosing to ride with Alex, like before?“I’ll roll down the window,” he said, still watching me.I gave a weak smile and leaned into his chest. He let out a slow breath, like he'd been holding it the whole time. Then opened

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    Dream Born from Doubt

Abby's POV I pressed my lips into a thin line. “Nothing,” I said.“Really?” he asked, one of his brows raised.I gave a small shrug.“Alright,” he said, clearly not convinced. “If you insist on keeping your dream a secret.”He crouched beside the bed, gently checking my ankle.I watched him, my thoughts drifting back to the dream. My stomach tightened. In it, we had a big misunderstanding. A big one that I cried. We weren’t talking anymore and I couldn’t find out who was at fault before I woke up.But I knew where that dream came from. It’s not real. It was the thought I had right before falling asleep. Mother used to say when we were younger that whatever troubles your heart before bedtime will slip into your dreams. And she was right.I had been quietly doubting Hayden’s sudden change. Not because I didn’t want to trust him, but because… I was scared. Freya would call it fear of the unknown. But maybe it’s time I stopped second-guessing. Maybe it’s time I let myself believe this ne

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    A Lie to Hold Her

Hayden’s POV I didn’t plan to lie.But the chain burned hotter against my chest the second she asked.Whose name does the letter stand for?I could’ve told her the truth. Should’ve.But how do I tell her it belongs to my ex? That I still wear it?That even after Amara left and everything crumbled, I kept the damn thing like some cursed habit I couldn’t let go of? That I once even punished her for breaking a cup Amara gave me?Shit.“Alpha?” Lucious’s voice cut through my thoughts. We’d been working with Alex for over thirty minutes in my suite, but my mind hadn’t been in the room.“Yeah,” I muttered, dragging a hand down my face.“I’ve diverted the supply to the Eastern region,” he said with his head buried in his laptop.I nodded absently.Alex glanced between us. “Lucious hasn’t had breakfast yet, Alpha. He should go and eat before continuing. And also, he's not yet done with the Ashwolf investigation.”Lucious paused, glancing at me for confirmation.I gave another nod, and he lef

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess     He Wore My Name

Abby’s POVMarbel or Valentina’s name didn’t start with A. Another girlfriend I didn’t know about?I looked away from the pendant for the sake of my peace.Once he helped me sit upright, he placed the tray on a foldable stand across my lap.“Bacon, eggs, toast, and orange juice.” He gave me a small nod. “Not bad for a guy who usually just downs black coffee and leaves.”I smiled faintly. “So… you don’t actually eat breakfast?”He pulled a chair to sit beside me. “Barely.”It hit me then that I’d never truly seen him eat. Not breakfast, lunch, or even dinner. Never once had I seen him sit at the dining table since I arrived in his pack.“Do you even eat at all?” I asked, curious. He scoffed. “Because I’m what? A robot?”“I mean… I’ve just never seen you eat.”He gave a small shrug. “I eat mostly at work. Not a heavy eater anyways. Maggie knows I usually eat around eleven. At night.”My eyes widened. “That’s too late.”He only smiled. “Used to it. But I guess I’ll have to change that. E

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    The Name That Lingers

Abby's POV He quietly slipped beside me, careful not to hurt my ankle. Then, without a word, he pulled me into his arms again, warm, steady and protective. One of his hands brushed through my hair in slow, soothing strokes. Back and forth. Over and over.I hadn’t realized how exhausted I was until that moment. The comfort of his touch… the steady rhythm of his heartbeat…Sleep took me before I could stop it.When I woke up, morning light spilled through the curtains. The bed beside me was empty. Hayden wasn’t there.I slowly swung my legs off the bed to test my ankle. A dull ache pulsed through it. Not fully healed. I still couldn’t put my full weight on it.I was just about to try standing when I heard the door open. I raised my brow who could have entered. Then Hayden walked into the bedroom.I let out a breath. I really needed to get used to him having access to my room with that master keycard.“Good morning, Alpha,” I said.He paused, arching a brow. I wasn’t sure why at first.

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    Warmth in His Arms

Abby’s POV It all felt like I had heard Hayden wrong.Him calling me his mate? No… it couldn’t be.And yet here he was tending to my leg like he actually cared. I blinked a few times, wondering if I was dreaming. Had to pinch myself slightly to be sure. But it all felt too real.I caught his eyes wandering over my body, and discomfort prickled down my spine.“Are you feeling cold?” he asked, his voice low and rough.“Yeah,” I said quietly. But the chill wasn’t from the AC. It was from the way I felt uneasy, exposed and unsure of what to make of him. He stood up slowly. I was expecting him to offer me something to cover up. I was uncomfortable being half-naked, injured, and this close to him.He gently nudged me forward and slid behind me on the bed. Then, without warning, his arms wrapped around me from behind. My breath caught.“Are you still feeling cold?” he murmured near my ear.I shook my head. But my whole body was trembling. From the warmth of his chest against my back. From t
