Abby’s POV

Marbel or Valentina’s name didn’t start with A. Another girlfriend I didn’t know about?

I looked away from the pendant for the sake of my peace.

Once he helped me sit upright, he placed the tray on a foldable stand across my lap.

“Bacon, eggs, toast, and orange juice.” He gave me a small nod. “Not bad for a guy who usually just downs black coffee and leaves.”

I smiled faintly. “So… you don’t actually eat breakfast?”

He pulled a chair to sit beside me. “Barely.”

It hit me then that I’d never truly seen him eat. Not breakfast, lunch, or even dinner. Never once had I seen him sit at the dining table since I arrived in his pack.

“Do you even eat at all?” I asked, curious.

He scoffed. “Because I’m what? A robot?”

“I mean… I’ve just never seen you eat.”

He gave a small shrug. “I eat mostly at work. Not a heavy eater anyways. Maggie knows I usually eat around eleven. At night.”

My eyes widened. “That’s too late.”

He only smiled. “Used to it. But I guess I’ll have to change that. E

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    A Lie to Hold Her

Hayden’s POV I didn’t plan to lie.But the chain burned hotter against my chest the second she asked.Whose name does the letter stand for?I could’ve told her the truth. Should’ve.But how do I tell her it belongs to my ex? That I still wear it?That even after Amara left and everything crumbled, I kept the damn thing like some cursed habit I couldn’t let go of? That I once even punished her for breaking a cup Amara gave me?Shit.“Alpha?” Lucious’s voice cut through my thoughts. We’d been working with Alex for over thirty minutes in my suite, but my mind hadn’t been in the room.“Yeah,” I muttered, dragging a hand down my face.“I’ve diverted the supply to the Eastern region,” he said with his head buried in his laptop.I nodded absently.Alex glanced between us. “Lucious hasn’t had breakfast yet, Alpha. He should go and eat before continuing. And also, he's not yet done with the Ashwolf investigation.”Lucious paused, glancing at me for confirmation.I gave another nod, and he lef

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    The Name That Lingers

Abby's POV He quietly slipped beside me, careful not to hurt my ankle. Then, without a word, he pulled me into his arms again, warm, steady and protective. One of his hands brushed through my hair in slow, soothing strokes. Back and forth. Over and over.I hadn’t realized how exhausted I was until that moment. The comfort of his touch… the steady rhythm of his heartbeat…Sleep took me before I could stop it.When I woke up, morning light spilled through the curtains. The bed beside me was empty. Hayden wasn’t there.I slowly swung my legs off the bed to test my ankle. A dull ache pulsed through it. Not fully healed. I still couldn’t put my full weight on it.I was just about to try standing when I heard the door open. I raised my brow who could have entered. Then Hayden walked into the bedroom.I let out a breath. I really needed to get used to him having access to my room with that master keycard.“Good morning, Alpha,” I said.He paused, arching a brow. I wasn’t sure why at first.

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    Warmth in His Arms

Abby’s POV It all felt like I had heard Hayden wrong.Him calling me his mate? No… it couldn’t be.And yet here he was tending to my leg like he actually cared. I blinked a few times, wondering if I was dreaming. Had to pinch myself slightly to be sure. But it all felt too real.I caught his eyes wandering over my body, and discomfort prickled down my spine.“Are you feeling cold?” he asked, his voice low and rough.“Yeah,” I said quietly. But the chill wasn’t from the AC. It was from the way I felt uneasy, exposed and unsure of what to make of him. He stood up slowly. I was expecting him to offer me something to cover up. I was uncomfortable being half-naked, injured, and this close to him.He gently nudged me forward and slid behind me on the bed. Then, without warning, his arms wrapped around me from behind. My breath caught.“Are you still feeling cold?” he murmured near my ear.I shook my head. But my whole body was trembling. From the warmth of his chest against my back. From t

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    Fixing What I Broke

Hayden's POV Her body crashed against mine.Soft, trembling, warm.My brain told me to let go, but my hands clutched her tighter, betraying me. We were both frozen in place. She was wrapped in my arms. I could feel her breath. Shallow. Rapid. Her chest rising and falling against mine. And goddess… I’ve never felt more torn in my life.I shifted my gaze, forcing it away from the rise of her chest, away from her exposed thigh. I tried to focus on anything else. But damn it, I couldn’t.She tried to step back, probably out of reflex, but her wet foot slipped again and this time, I heard a soft crack. She gasped and winced.Damn it, Abby,” I muttered, catching her before she hit the ground again. This time her body sagged into mine, weaker.“Are you okay?”She gripped my arm tightly. “My ankle,” she muttered. “I think I twisted it.”I didn’t hesitate. Without another word, I scooped her into my arms. Her wet skin pressed against my shirt, soaking through, but I didn’t care. Her arms inst

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    My Mistakes

Hayden’s POVAlex stared at me and scoffed. “Don't do something you'll regret, man.”I didn’t answer. Just turned and walked to the bathroom to wash my bleeding hand. The cut was a bit deep, but it would heal before dawn. I grabbed the first aid kit. Alex followed and helped wrap the bandage, tightening it just enough to stop the bleeding.“Any updates on the Ashwolves?” I asked.“No. Still the same. I gave Lucious a few assignments to do. Hopefully, something gives.” He paused. “Soon.”I nodded. “Good.”A knock came at the door. Alex sniffed. “Human.”He opened it. Room service.Lucious must’ve ordered for everyone again. I usually don’t care what they bring, but this time, I needed to be sure.“Did you ask Abby what she wanted,” I said, “or did you just order for her too?”“I think Lucious handled it.” Alex replied.I nodded slowly. “Next time, ask her. I don’t want her to misunderstand me again.”Alex’s brow rose slightly, but I ignored him and walked to the door. “Call the cleaner
