Abby's POV

I just stood there, watching Valentina breathe in and out slowly through her mouth just to calm herself down. Then, she started fanning herself with her hand.

“Valentina.” I called softly but she didn't answer, so I continued. “Ca…can you please, change the condition? Hayden won't answer me.”

“Then make him answer.” She snapped.

I pressed my lips into a thin line. “Okay… give me this one more chance. I’ll fix this, I promise.”

She threw me a deadly glare. “One more chance, huh? Okay. I’m watching you.”

Then she stormed away. I released the air I didn't know I was holding in. Goddess. It's barely six hours since we were back from Kea and Valentina is already making things this hard. I let out a breath.

Maggie's voice cut through my thoughts.

“Mrs Roche.” She emerged with her eyes widened in surprise and her hands covering her mouth. Some maids followed closely behind her, smiling.

“Oh goddess! We're glad you're our Luna.” She hugged me and suddenly gasped. She stepped bac

Abby’s POV “Valentina killed Marbel?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.I stared at Alex, waiting for him to take it back. To tell me I’d heard him wrong. He didn’t.“Abby, I doubted you too,” Alex admitted quietly. “When Hayden said you acted in self-defense, I thought he was blinded by feelings. But he kept insisting you didn’t kill Marbel intentionally. He defended you. Said you ran because you were scared.”Alex swallowed. “And he was right. Valentina was exposed.”I shook my head slowly. “You don’t understand, Alex. I pushed her. I killed her. I pushed Marbel down the stairs.” My voice wavered. “Even Maggie's daughter saw everything.”“Yes, you pushed her,” Alex said carefully. “But that wasn’t what killed her.”I froze.“A maid saw Valentina suffocate Marbel after the fall,” he continued. “She took advantage of the moment. Hayden has her under house arrest now.”My jaw dropped. The memory of that day slammed into me with brutal clarity. I remembered Valentina showing up

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    Running After Him

Abby’s POVI kept calling Hayden’s number as I sat in the cab, but it went straight to voicemail every single time.I had no idea where to find him. Not even the hotel he’d checked into. The cab felt like it was going in circles, and in my frustration, I told the driver to just keep moving. I didn’t care about the fare.My chest tightened as I craned my neck, scanning every street, every sidewalk, hoping I might catch a glimpse of him.Why would he even think of doing something so reckless? Resigning his Alpha position? My stomach sank. Alex’s words over the phone with Ruby kept circling in my mind. Hayden had lost his memory… forgetting only me? Was that even possible? My fingers flew across my phone, Googling frantically, desperate for answers. The results made my breath hitch. Selective memory loss. Trauma-induced amnesia. It was real. And from everything I read, emotional shock could trigger it.I swallowed hard as the truth settled heavily in my chest. The scandal with Derek an

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    A Willing Fall

Alex's POV“Hayden… don’t do anything stupid!”I blocked his path, but my strength was no match for his. He shoved me aside and stormed out.By the time I scrambled to my feet, he was already gone.I ran after him, but his car was already pulling out of the hotel driveway by the time I burst outside.“Fuck…”I’d left the key to the second car back in my suite. Going back for it would mean losing him completely. I dialed his number immediately—straight to voicemail.“For fuck’s sake, Hayden!” I muttered, desperation clawing up my throat. There was no time to wait for the hotel chauffeurs. Then, the moon on my side, a car pulled into the driveway beside Hayden’s parking spot. A man stepped out. Human.I didn’t think. I just moved.“Hey, bro,” I said quickly. “I need you to tail the car that just left. Now. It’s important. Please.”He took one look at my face, hesitated only a second, then nodded and climbed back into his car.Maybe he saw my desperation. Maybe he was just being kind.We

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    Is He Really That Stupid?

Abby’s POVRuby glanced at me, clearly not interested in what Alex was saying over the phone. I wasn’t either, especially now that he mentioned Hayden. They might be trying to manipulate Ruby just to get to me.“Hello, Ruby? Are you still there?” Alex’s voice came again.Ruby took the phone from me and pressed the red button.“We’re not doing this anymore, Abby,” she said, putting her phone away even though it immediately started ringing again and again.“Can both of you explain what’s happening?” Derek finally spoke up, his confusion obvious after watching in silence.“They’re mates,” I said. “Hayden’s beta, Alex, is Ruby’s mate.”“Oh, fuck!” Derek cursed under his breath, glancing at Ruby, who just shrugged casually like it was nothing.“I’m sorry you got caught up in all of this, Ruby,” he added, still reeling from the revelation.Ruby placed Amy who was now half-asleep beside Asher and faced us. “Both of you are making this worse. And if you won’t agree that I’m totally with you o

Abby’s POV I stared at Hayden like he’d spoken in a language I didn’t understand, searching his face for sanity.“Tell me why you hid my children from me, Abby,” he repeated, as if I hadn’t heard him the first time.“Which… children are you talking about?” I asked.“Amy and Asher,” he said, his tone deadly serious. My chest tightened. Was he serious? Or completely unhinged?“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I said firmly. “And if you’ll excuse me, I have something important to do inside.”Before I could turn away, he held out a paper. “This proves it.”I hesitated before taking it and unfolding it. The DNA results stared back at me. Color drained from my face.I looked up at him, fury clawing up my throat. “Really?” I snapped. “You had the audacity to run a paternity test on my children?”“Mine too,” he growled, his voice low but trembling with fury. “You lied to me, Abby. The twins are mine, my blood. Do you have any idea what it feels like to discover you have children who

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    Why Did You Hide Them?

Hayden’s POV I didn’t plan it.Didn’t rehearse the words or decide how I’d say them. I just found myself driving to her restaurant, my grip tight on the wheel as my vision blurred, no matter how hard I fought them.Everything I thought I knew had just collapsed in a single breath.I had children…and they had grown up without me. I hadn’t witnessed their first steps, their first words. Abby must have hated me, carrying the weight of raising two children alone while I lived my life unaware. But… she lied to me.I asked her. I asked her that morning if I’d slept with her, and she denied it. Why would she lie? What had I done to deserve having my own children hidden from me?“Move,” I snarled, hitting the horn when a car ahead crawled along. It didn’t.I slammed my hand against the steering wheel, the horn blaring as I leaned forward. “Get the hell out of my way before I crush you.”The car finally lurched forward, fleeing as if instinct warned it to run.Alex sat quietly beside me, not
