Anna’s Point of View still

When we stepped into the club, every head in the room swiveled our way.

Yes, we werewolves always stood out. Something in our quiet elegance, in the rhythm of how we carried ourselves, tugged at human senses before they even knew what they were drawn to.

The women instinctively tightened their grips on their men, while the single patrons halted their conversations, giving us their undivided attention. Jor and Amy were clearly in their element, basking in the sudden spotlight, but for me, nah, my mood was far from joyful.

The heartbreak from Ettire’s severance still ached like a wound too fresh to fade.

I plastered a fake smile on my face, sure I would not ruin the evening for my friends, who were clearly ready to immerse themselves in the night’s distractions.

Jor and Amy were quickly swept away by a couple of handsome human men.

I knew they were safe, humans st

Anna’s Point of View still Seven days on the road, gone like smoke on the horizon. Honestly, the week had left its mark, a whirlwind of moments I won’t soon forget. After that night of clubbing, we stuck to our original plan, enjoying more of nature, camping around a bonfire, and chatting about everything except work. Of course, Margie’s disappearing acts had become a regular occurrence, we quickly understood that Beta Emile was picking her up occasionally to strengthen their bond. She always returned blissfully happy but hadn't yet felt the need to tell us about the progress in her relationship. I suspected she was afraid of plunging me back into a state of sadness with her cheerful tales about her wonderful connection with her werewolf mate, who just so happened to be the Beta of my ex-Alpha. “Hey, I feel rested and ready to tackle things again,” Jor confessed on our first day back at work.

Believe it or not, my mood improved instantly after Hawk’s left. It was a surprising, strange shift. Those rejections had lost their grip, I no longer bled from every ‘no.’ Instead, I felt incredibly lighter, almost buoyant, and a sense of deep contentment settled over me. A genuine smile, one that now reached my eyes, even formed on my lips. Who was this mysterious man who had such an incredible, calming impact on me? ‘The Hawk’ couldn’t possibly be his true name, and from his whispered words, he was waiting for the opportune moment to reveal his identity to me. I was certain I would hear his reasons when that time came. Slowly, I turned back, confirming he was indeed gone, vanished as quickly and silently as he had appeared. I strolled back into the bustling club, where my friends were still enjoying themselves on the dance floor. Their laughter and energetic movements drew me in. I moved towards them,

An oppressive silence hung in the air as we drove the sandy road out of Blue Moon and onto the highway. This time, Margie was behind the wheel and strangely enough, she was the most composed of us all, even after my disastrous mating encounter. Beta Emile, her mate, remained with his Alpha, framed by the wreckage, a final act of loyalty, spoken not in words, but in where he chose to stand. Amy sat next to me, my head resting on her lap, her hand idly stroking my hair. She was lost in thought, and I knew she was worried about me, her concern a warm, comforting presence. “Three strikes and I’m out. I’m done with this mating thing,” I stated with a broken heart. Tears still blurred my vision, though I tried to stem their flow. “From now on, I’m only concentrating on my career. Modeling is my expertise, my passion, my focus. Everything else is in the past. I’m not going through such a painful farewell from a fated mate again,

Anna’s Point of View still “Never again! This is the last time! I swear!” I threw myself onto the back seat of the car, the tears streaming in hot rivulets down my cheeks. This humiliation cut deep, it had broken something fundamental inside me. Going through a broken mate bond three times was utterly devastating, I’m telling you! The pain was a familiar ache, but each time it cut sharper, stabbed deeper. “Anna!” Amy cried out in panic beside me. “What did he do to you? Don’t tell us he rejected you, a minute after he found you!” She looked out the window, her eyes blazing a fierce, dangerous red. When she made a move to get out to confront Ettire, I quickly grabbed her hand, my fingers digging into her arm. Amy, like Jor, was still just a rankless wolf in my pack, completely unprepared to face an Alpha, even one as mentally deeply wounded as Ettire. Their courage was admirable, but utterly

“Anna, let’s sit down.” His words hung cold in the air, a chilling prelude to what was to come. My new mate simply gestured towards a tree stump nearby. I moved, choosing a deliberate, defiant distance, and settled onto the rough surface beside him. I wanted to be clear-headed for this conversation, to prevent the mate bond from clouding my judgment or overwhelming me with its irresistible pull. This wouldn't be a happy ending, I can tell you that, all the signs pointed to it. But this time, I vowed, I would preserve my dignity. I wouldn’t beg to be accepted, wouldn’t plead for a connection he was clearly unwilling to offer. I would simply accept whatever his decision was, no matter how much it tore at my soul. “You are very beautiful, and I am grateful to the Moon Goddess for such a gift as you,” Ettire began, his voice strained. “If you had come a few years earlier, I would have embraced
