Ellyse had to drop Claire off at Kai’s house because it was Saturday. She’ll stay there for two days before she gets her back on Sunday night. The lake carried many memories of Ellyse’s relationship with Xander. It was their meeting place. For a short while, it became her place of solace and peace. She stared at the email with a blank expression, trying to think of a response. Actually, she had no idea if it was even a good idea to respond.
