FAZER LOGINEllyse Kennedy and Kai Laurent have been married for six years. During those years, their marriage was spent apart with Kai being on business trips and Elleyse caring for their child at home. It was an arranged, loveless marriage and Ellyse has had enough. The moment she finds out that her husband was meeting with his ex girlfriend after finding out that she was pregnant again, her desire to file for divorce ignited. When Kai went home to find divorce papers sitting on top of his desk with his wife’s signature, he demanded her to come home. “Divorce? Have you lost your mind?” Kai says with emphasis on each word, confusion dripping from his eyes. It was the very first time Ellyse saw her husband show any emotions after six years.
Ver maisAgatha didn’t even see Ellyse, she immediately went to Kai with urgency as if she was that desperate to see him.“Kai! I heard about the news, how are you? Are you okay? I’ve been trying to reach out to you but you haven’t been responding,” Ellyse stepped out of the way so she could come to him. She held his face with misty eyes while Ellyse watches, Kai remained idle. His brows were furrowed into a line, he didn’t seem pleased to see her.“Agatha what are you-““Please, talk to me. You can talk to me, right? We can still fix this, I’ll make it up to you, I promise!” she was deliriously trying to convince him to come back to her in front of his ex-wife as if she didn’t even exist. What Ellyse saw that day was so different from the Agatha she knew. She looked desperate and hurt, it was almost like she could see herself through her.Years ago, she was in the same situation; begging and pining for a love that never even exist
The meeting dismissed after almost an hour. It mostly consisted of Kai and George assuring the investors that the money that was lost would be compensated for once the suspect is detained. Though there were no clear evidences, Ellyse was confident in her assumption. She didn’t want to blame anyone of course, but she felt the need to voice out her opinion. “Ms. Kennedy, may I speak to you?” Candice, the head of the accounting department approached her after the meeting. “Of course,” she nodded indulgently before they went to a corner. “As the head of the accounting department, I feel the need to atleast contribute something to the investigation,” Ellyse thought about something upon hearing her say that. Candice didn’t have access to the vault despite being in finance. However, she knew exactly what goes in and out of thei
Ellyse couldn’t get herself to sleep that night. Her heart felt heavy and her mind was all over the place. It kept replaying the conversation she had with Kai and last words he uttered before he left. A part of her felt guilty for turning down his help. After all, his intentions were purely to help her. She just couldn’t get herself to do it, especially after seeing how she reacted after seeing their picture together. That night, she realized that she really hasn’t moved on from everything that happened between her and Kai. Despite her efforts of trying to build a civil relationship with him, everything always takes her back to what happened between them before. It’s like a wound that never became a scar. It only stopped bleeding, but the pain was still there. It was a reminder that what they had was real—they were real.
Ellyse decided to go home after checking out Kai’s room. For some reason, the idea of staying in the same house that made her feel lonely sounded ridiculous. This whole entire time, she was digging her own grave. Why did she ever consider living with him again? Was it because a part of her still loves him? The thought sounded absolutely preposterous. She wouldn’t even dare put herself in the same position she so badly pulled herself out from. She’s never gonna do that, ever. Ellyse drove back to her home with a heavy heart. She didn’t cry, she didn’t even feel hurt. Maybe, reality just hit her. For the past few days, she has been moving with her heart and not her head. She thought that being close to Kai again wouldn’t bother her, apparently—it did. She arrived at her
“My mother’s crazy,” Kai mutters lowly as he sits on the bed. Meanwhile, Ellyse is busy fixing her luggage. “We can’t do anything about it. It seems like she’s still trying to get us back together,” She replied to him, her back facing him.
Morning light filtered softly through the blinds as Ellyse stepped into the examination room, one hand resting lightly on her stomach. l Dr. Reyes walked in with a warm smile, tablet in hand. “Good morning, Ellyse. How have you been feeling?”
“I still love you, Kai,” Ellyse says with utmost honesty. Kai’s eyes widened in shock and she saw how much he wasn’t expecting that answer from her. He was probably anticipating for her to say the complete opposite. “We were together for
“Happy birthday, Claire!” Agatha, who still had visible scars around her arms went to Claire’s birthday unannounced. The craziest part was, she isn’t even invited. Who the hell invited her? Was it Kai? Did he invite her wit
