I lowered the cloth slowly, my fingers gripping it tighter than necessary.

Did I want to kill her?

My wolf stirred restlessly. "Yes, Ravena. We wanted her blood on our hands. We wanted her silent forever."

I closed my eyes for a moment, feeling the weight of that truth settle in my chest like a stone. When I opened them again, Evander was still patiently watching me.

"Yes," I finally admitted, my voice barely above a whisper. "For a moment, I considered it."
